Coaching Funnel Walkthrough Video

If you’re like me and you prefer to watch a video rather than read an article, then I got you covered.

I also created a step-by-step video showing you how to create a coaching funnel. You can watch it here.

Understanding the Coaching Funnel

Before diving into the details of creating a coaching funnel template, it’s important to understand what a coaching funnel actually is and why it’s a game-changer for your business.

What Is a Coaching Funnel?

A coaching funnel is essentially a series of pages specially designed to guide your potential clients through the process of discovering your services, engaging with your brand, and finally booking a session with you.

Think of it as your virtual assistant, working 24/7 to turn prospects into paying clients.

A decent coaching and consulting funnel has the following structure:

  1. Awareness: Attracting your audience with a lead magnet, blog, or social media posts.
  2. Consideration: Providing value and demonstrating your expertise, such as with a free training video or mini-course.
  3. Decision: Encouraging prospects to book a discovery coaching session or purchase one of your coaching products.
  4. Action: Converting prospects into clients through easy-to-use booking and payment systems.

If all this sounds overwhelming, don’t worry—you don’t have to build it from scratch.

If you want to save yourself the tech headaches, you can do yourself a favour and grab my ready-to-use coaching and consulting funnel template here.

Why a Funnel Is Crucial for Coaches

Without a funnel, potential coaching clients often get stuck in limbo. They might visit your site, think about booking a session, and then leave without taking action.

Your coaching funnel is going to help you with the following:

  • Attract qualified leads: Reach people who are genuinely interested in your services.
  • Nurture trust: Build authority in your niche with consistent value.
  • Boost conversion rates: Turn more visitors into paying clients.
  • Save time: Automate follow-ups and lead tracking so you can focus on delivering your coaching services.

Basically, it’s going to save you a ton of time in your business, and bring you more paying clients.

Personal Anecdote: My Funnel Transformation

When I first started my coaching business, I didn’t have a funnel. I had a basic website, a contact form, and a whole lot of hope.

Guess how many people booked? Practically none.

It wasn’t until I built my first coaching funnel that things started to take off. Suddenly, I had a system that worked for me even when I wasn’t online. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping others skip the guesswork and start with a proven template.

Identifying Your Target Audience

Your funnel will only work if it speaks directly to your ideal client. That means knowing exactly who you’re trying to attract and what they’re looking for.

Pinpointing Your Ideal Coaching Client

Ask yourself:

  • Who are my coaching services for?
  • What challenges are they facing that I can solve?
  • How can I position my coaching to meet their needs?

For example:

  • A career coach might target mid-level professionals looking to switch industries.
  • A relationship coach could focus on singles recovering from a breakup.
  • A financial coach might help freelancers with budgeting or scaling their business.

By narrowing your focus, you’ll create a funnel that resonates deeply with your audience.

Tools to Understand Your Audience

  1. Surveys: You can use Systeme.io’s survey feature to ask your current clients about their pain points.
  2. Social Media Insights: Look at what your followers engage with on platforms like Instagram or LinkedIn.
  3. Competitor Research: See how other coaches in your niche are engaging their audience.

Real-World Example: A Fitness Coaching Funnel

Let’s say you’re a fitness coach who works with busy parents who want to get in shape. Your ideal client likely struggles with time management and meal planning. Your funnel should highlight how your coaching saves them time while delivering results.

The Shortcut to a Perfect Fit

Defining your audience might feel daunting at first, but don’t let it slow you down. My done-for-you funnel template for coaches and consultants comes pre-optimized to appeal to a wide range of niches. You can customize it to speak directly to your audience, without starting from scratch.

By taking the time to understand your audience and the value of a structured funnel, you’ll be setting the stage for a steady stream of potential clients.

In the next section, we’ll cover how to set up your coaching funnel step-by-step using Systeme.io.

If you’re already feeling overwhelmed, then you can skip the hassle and use my done-for-you funnel template right here. It also comes with a sep-by-step video to show you how it works and how to customise it to make it your own!

Systeme.io simplifies the process of building funnels, integrating email automation, and handling payments—all without needing to be a tech wizard.

When I first switched to Systeme.io, I was blown away by how much easier it was compared to juggling multiple tools. It’s intuitive, beginner-friendly, and saves hours of setup time. Systeme.io also makes it extremely simple to run my business.

You can get a free Systeme.io account here. You don’t even need to enter your credit card to use the free plan of Systeme.io!

Step 1: Creating the Funnel

To start, log in to your Systeme.io account and navigate to the “Funnels” tab. From there:

  1. Click “Create”: Choose your funnel’s goal—either building your email list, selling coaching products, or creating a high-ticket coaching funnel.
  2. Name Your Funnel: Use something descriptive like “Life Coaching Funnel” or “Executive Coaching Funnel.”
  3. Choose a Template: Systeme.io offers pre-built templates, but if you want a proven, fully optimized option, you can use my done-for-you funnel template for coaches here.

This initial setup takes just a few minutes, and then you’re ready to design the pages that will convert visitors into coaching clients.

Step 2: Designing Your Coaching Funnel Pages

Your coaching funnel will include several key pages, each with a specific purpose. Let’s break them down.

The Squeeze Page (Opt-In Page)

Purpose: Collect email addresses by offering a lead magnet (like a free eBook or video).

  • Key Elements:
    • A compelling headline addressing a pain point (e.g., “Struggling to Find Work-Life Balance?”).
    • A simple opt-in form with a name and email field.
    • An image of your lead magnet or a short video introducing it.

Pro Tip: Keep it simple. Asking for too much information here can scare off leads. I learned this the hard way when I initially added a phone number field—my opt-ins dropped by 30%. Stick to the essentials!

Funnel template squeeze page

Creating a High Converting Lead Magnet

A great option for a lead magnet for coaches and consultants is an ebook.

Why? There are multiple reasons…

Firstly, if you’ve written a book, then it automatically gives you more credibility and authority. It’s just how the brain works, most people simply assume that you that you therefore, must be an expert on your topic.

Secondly, they have a reasonably high perceived value, so most people will be more than willing to give you their email address in exchange.

If you want a quick way to create a high quality, professional ebook super-fast using AI, then watch my video here.

The Thank You Page

Once you new lead has opted in on your squeeze page to receive your free lead magnet, they will be redirected to the ‘thank you’ page.

Purpose: To confirm the opt-in and start building trust.

  • Key Elements:
    • Include a short 30-60 sec “thank you” video to add a personal touch.
    • Use a call-to-action (CTA) button to book a discovery session.
    • Add some bonus content (e.g., a mini training video) to establish authority and demo how you can help them solve their problems.
Thank you page

The Questionnaire Page

The CTA button on your ‘thank you’ page will lead to the third page in your funnel, which is the ‘questionnaire page’.

Purpose: To gather important info about your prospective client before the discovery session.

  • Key Elements:
    • Embed a Google Form to ask questions and collect the info you need from your prospects (I show you how to do this in the step-by-step video that comes with my DFY coaching and consulting funnel template).
    • Ask relevant questions about their goals, challenges, and expectations for coaching.

This step ensures you’re fully prepared for the session and helps position you as a professional who values your client’s time.

The Booking Page

After your prospect has completed the questionnaire, they are then sent to the ‘booking page’ where they can choose a time slot with you and book their appointment.

Purpose: To allow your prospects to quickly and easily schedule a discovery session or coaching session with you without you even needing to pick up the phone or engage in back and forth emails. Game-changer!

  • Key Elements:
    • Use Systeme.io’s built-in calendar or integrate tools like Calendly.
    • Include a clear CTA like “Book Your Free Discovery Call Now.”

If you want to avoid the tech headaches of setting this up manually, remember you can save time with my done-for-you coaching funnel template here.

Integrating Automation and Email Sequences

No coaching funnel is complete without automation. Systeme.io makes it super-simple to set up email sequences that will nurture your leads and guide them to booking sessions or buying your coaching products.

Step 1: Set Up Automation Rules

  1. Go to your funnel’s settings and click on “Automation Rules.”
  2. Create a new rule: “When form is submitted, add to email campaign.”
  3. Assign a tag to segment your leads (e.g., “Potential Coaching Clients”).

Step 2: Create an Email Campaign

Your email campaign should deliver value while gently nudging prospects toward action. A typical sequence might look like this:

  1. Email 1: Welcome and Deliver the Lead Magnet
    • Thank them for opting in and provide the promised resource.
    • Include a CTA to book a discovery session.
  2. Email 2: Share a Success Story
    • Highlight a client success to build credibility.
    • Mention your coaching services.
  3. Email 3: Address Common Pain Points
    • Offer actionable tips or advice.
    • Reinforce how your coaching can solve their problems.

Pro Tip: Avoid overwhelming your leads with too many emails too quickly. A spaced-out sequence works best for keeping them engaged.

Watch my video below for a step-by-step guide on how to set up your automated email follow up sequence, and how to connect it to your funnel.

Why Automation Is a Game-Changer

When I first started using email automation, it felt like having a virtual assistant working for me 24/7. I could focus on coaching while my funnel nurtured leads in the background.

If you’re new to email marketing or don’t want to start from scratch, my done-for-you coaching funnel template includes the option for you to also get my pre-written email sequences that are ready to go. Just tweak them to fit your voice and audience!

In the next section, we’ll dive into how to handle payments and seamlessly integrate a checkout page into your funnel. This is useful if you are using your funnel for paid coaching calls instead of free discovery calls. You can also use this page to sell an upsell product if you wish.

Offering a Payment Option for Discovery Calls

If you’ve decided to charge for your discovery sessions instead of offering free discovery calls—or if you’re offering a high-ticket coaching package—adding a payment step to your funnel is essential.

This not only helps filter out tire-kickers but also positions your coaching as a premium, professional service.

Step 1: Adding a Checkout Page to Your Funnel

To charge for your sessions, you’ll need to insert a checkout page into your funnel. Here’s how:

  1. Place the Checkout Page: Add it between the thank-you page and the booking page. This ensures prospects see your value before committing financially.
  2. Create a Clear Offer: Be specific about what they’re getting in the session. For example:
    • “A 60-minute coaching session to uncover your biggest challenges and create an actionable plan tailored to your goals.”
    • “Includes a follow-up email with key takeaways and next steps.”
  3. Payment Setup: Systeme.io allows you to connect payment gateways like Stripe or PayPal directly to your funnel, making transactions seamless.

If you’re using my DFY coaching funnel template, then it also comes with the payment page. The accompanying step-by-step set up video shows you how and where to drag and drop the payment page into your funnel pages sequence and how to set it up. That way, you have peace of mind knowing that everything is set up correctly.

Step 2: Justify the Payment For The Call

If you’re charging for a discovery session, you need to provide a strong reason why it’s worth the cost. A great way to do this is to turn the discovery call into a solution-based call where you also promise to solve one key pain point that your prospect has. This way you provide a lot of value on the call and you also take them through the discovery process at the same time.

Real World Example: High-Ticket Coaching Funnel

A career coach introduces a paid discovery session priced at $97. She frames it as a “Career Clarity Call” where clients will walk away with a roadmap to their dream job. This small payment not only boosts her authority but can also result in more serious prospects who may later upgrade to her high-ticket coaching program.

Pro Tip: Use My Proven Template

If setting up a checkout page sounds like a headache, my consulting and coaching template already includes a pre-designed payment page. All you need to do is plug in your offer, and you’re good to go.

A Successful Coaching Funnel Model Overview

The coaching and consulting funnel layout

Here’s an example of how a fitness coach might use this approach to grow a coaching business.

The Funnel Breakdown

  1. Lead Magnet: A free “10-Day Home Workout Plan” opt-in.
  2. Thank You Page: Includes a short video to introduce her coaching philosophy and a CTA to book a free 15-minute consultation.
  3. Questionnaire Page: Gathers information about fitness goals, challenges, and workout preferences.
  4. Booking Page: Allows prospects to schedule a consultation directly.
  5. Email Sequence: A nurturing sequence offering tips, client testimonials, and a limited-time offer for her high-ticket coaching package.

My DFY funnel for coaches template helps you to quickly and easily achieve this set up.

Personal Insights and Best Practices

As someone who has built multiple coaching funnels, I can confidently say that success comes down to three things: clarity, simplicity, and consistency.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  1. Overcomplicating the Funnel: Keep your funnel straightforward. Too many steps can confuse prospects and lead to drop-offs.
  2. Skipping the Follow-Up: Don’t underestimate the power of a well-crafted email sequence. A good follow-up can turn lukewarm leads into paying clients.
  3. Undervaluing Your Services: Don’t be afraid to charge for your expertise. Offering a paid discovery session can elevate your positioning and attract serious clients.

Actionable Tips for Funnel Success

  • Test and Optimize: Regularly review your funnel’s performance. Experiment with headlines, CTAs, and email copy to see what resonates best.
  • Focus on Value: Every step in your funnel should provide something valuable—whether it’s a free resource, actionable advice, or personalized guidance.
  • Leverage Testimonials: Use social proof to build trust. Add client success stories to your thank-you and checkout pages.

A coaching funnel template is the key to creating a professional, streamlined system that consistently attracts and converts your ideal clients. It saves you time, eliminates the guesswork, and lets you focus on delivering your coaching services without getting bogged down by tech challenges.

Getting Started with Systeme.io’s Calendar Feature

Now, let’s get into how to use the Systeme.io calendar feature so you can get more online bookings.

What You Need to Know Before You Begin

If you’ve ever wondered “Does Systeme.io have a booking calendar?”—the answer is yes, and it’s packed with features that can rival tools like Calendly or TidyCal.

It’s all included as part of your Systeme.io account, even on the free plan, making it perfect if you’re just getting started or want to keep costs down.

Here’s what makes it stand out:

  • It’s directly integrated with your funnel pages, so you can capture leads and bookings in one place.
  • You can sync it with Zoom meetings, Google Meet, or any other external video conferencing tool.
  • It links with your Systeme.io CRM, which automatically tracks your contacts and appointments.

Accessing the Systeme.io Calendar

To access the calendar feature:

  1. Log in to your Systeme.io account here.
  2. From the main menu, click the “CRM” tab.
  3. Then, from the drop-down menu, select “Calendar.”

Once you’re in, you’ll see three tabs at the top:

  • Events: Where you create and manage your events.
  • Bookings: Displays all your confirmed appointments.
  • Availability: This is where you set your default working hours, making scheduling much faster.

I recommend setting your default availability before creating any events—it makes things much smoother.

Accessing the Systeme.io booking calendar

Setting Your Default Availability

Under the Availability tab, you can:

  • Choose which days you’re available (e.g., Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
  • Add specific time slots if you take lunch breaks or prefer afternoon-only meetings on certain days.
  • Save your settings to apply these defaults across your future events.

For example, I block out my Wednesdays for content creation. Having this set as a default ensures no one can book calls on that day.

Default availability settings for your booking calendar

Pro Tip: You can also create one-off availability for special events, like free discovery calls or webinars.

Creating and Managing Events

Now, let’s get into how to set up an appointment calendar in Systeme.io. It’s super-easy and actually quite fun to work with!

Creating Your First Event

Ready to create an event? Here’s how to set up a coaching calendar in Systeme io (or any other type of appointment):

Step 1: Click on the Events tab and then select “Create New Event.”

Creating your new event

Step 2: Enter the event name. Be specific—for example, “1-on-1 Business Strategy Call” or “Website Review Session.”

Step 3: Set the meeting duration (e.g., 30, 60, or 90 minutes).

Step 4: Add your profile picture to personalize your Systeme.io booking calendar.

Adding the details of your online calendar booking event

Choosing Your Meeting Location

Systeme.io gives you three options for meeting types:

  • Online Meeting: Use the Zoom integration or paste an external link (like Google Meet or Microsoft Teams).
  • Telephone: Add your preferred contact number.
  • In-Person: If you’re meeting at a physical location, input the address and include a contact number in case clients need to call.

When I set up my strategy calls, I prefer Zoom meetings because of the automatic links and notifications. But if you’re working with local clients, in-person options can make a lot of sense.

Customizing Event Details

Here’s where you can fine-tune everything:

  • Event Description: Write a brief but informative description of what the meeting covers. This will show up in the confirmation email your clients receive.
  • Time Zone Settings: Systeme.io automatically detects and adjusts for your client’s time zone, making it hassle-free for international bookings.
  • Date Range: Choose the period during which your event is available. For example, you might only offer free consultations for a limited time.
Event availability for this booking

Setting Up Availability for Specific Events

Even if you’ve set default availability, you can override it for specific events. For instance, you might offer shorter 20-minute calls on Fridays or block out time for VIP clients.

Real-Life Example: One of my friends is a business consultant who uses Systeme.io to offer initial consultations on Mondays and Wednesdays. He reserves Thursdays for longer project planning calls, using the custom availability feature to keep things organized.

Setting the timing and time zones for your event

Advanced Settings

  • Buffer Time: Add buffer time between meetings to avoid back-to-back calls (perfect for grabbing coffee or taking notes).
  • Daily Meeting Limits: Cap the number of calls you take per day to avoid burnout.
  • Form Fields: Customize what information you collect (e.g., name, email, phone number).

Saving and Testing Your Event

Once your event is set up, make sure to:

  • Save the event.
  • Preview it to ensure everything looks good from the client’s perspective.

It’s always a good idea to run a test booking yourself to catch any issues before sharing the link with clients.

In the next section, we’ll cover how to embed your booking calendar on your website or funnel and how to connect it to your Systeme.io sales pipeline using automation rules.

That’s where things really start to get exciting—you’ll see your Systeme.io CRM in action as leads flow in seamlessly!

Embedding the Systeme.io Calendar into Your Funnel or Website

Once your event is set up, the next step is to make sure people can actually book a call with you!

One of the best things about Systeme.io’s booking calendar is how easily it integrates into your funnels and website pages.

Whether you’re offering free discovery calls, strategy sessions, or paid consultations, embedding your calendar gives your visitors a seamless way to book an appointment without leaving your page.

So, here’s how to embed the Systeme.io calendar onto your website or funnel. It doesn’t matter if you want to embed your booking calendar into a Systeme.io website or a WordPress website, it all works the same way.

Adding Your Booking Calendar to a Funnel Page

Here’s how to embed the Systeme.io calendar into your funnel:

  1. Go to Your Funnel: In the Systeme.io dashboard, navigate to the funnel where you want to add the booking option.
  2. Add a New Step: Click “Add Step” and label it something relevant, like “Book a Call.”
  3. Select Page Type: Choose “Squeeze Page” (the only page type that supports calendar embedding).
  4. Edit the Page: Click “Edit Page” to open the drag-and-drop builder.
  5. Insert the Booking Calendar Element: On the left sidebar, drag the “Calendar” element into your desired section.
Embedding the Systeme.io calendar into your website or funnel page

Once added, you’ll see your calendar displayed directly on the page. Visitors can pick a time, enter their details, and confirm their booking—all in one smooth process.

Pro Tip: If you’re embedding a paid consultation, position the booking page after your order form so clients pay before they book. If it’s a free call, make sure the calendar is easy to find—either above the fold or linked in your calls-to-action.

Embedding the Booking Calendar on Your Website

If you’re wondering how to embed the Systeme.io calendar on your website, it’s just as simple.

  • Website Pages: Follow the same process as funnel pages—use the drag-and-drop editor to place your calendar exactly where you want it.
  • Pop-Ups: You can even embed your calendar within a pop-up for extra visibility.

Integrating the Systeme.io Calendar with Your Pipeline

Now that your calendar is live, let’s make it work harder for you by connecting it to your sales process. This is where the Systeme.io CRM really shines—you can automatically track and manage leads as they move through your pipeline.

Why Connect Your Calendar to a Pipeline?

Think of your sales pipeline as a roadmap that tracks each contact’s journey—from booking a discovery call to becoming a paying client.

Instead of manually updating your CRM, Systeme.io can automatically add contacts to specific pipeline stages based on their booking activity.

How to Connect the Calendar to the Sales Pipeline Feature

  1. Open Your Funnel: Go to the funnel containing your Booking calendar.
  2. Click “Automation Rules”: At the top of your funnel editor, select “Automation Rules.”
  3. Add a New Rule: Click “Add Rule” and set the trigger as “Funnel Step Form Subscribed.”
  4. Set the Action: Choose “Add to Pipeline” from the action list.
  5. Select the Pipeline Stage: Pick the appropriate stage (e.g., “Meeting Booked” or “Discovery Call Completed”).

This step is especially useful if you offer different types of calls, such as coaching sessions and follow-ups. Each event type can have its own pipeline stage, making it easy to stay organized.

Real-World Example

I used this feature when I launched my online meeting strategy sessions. Anytime someone booked a session through the Systeme.io calendar, they were automatically added to my pipeline as a lead.

I assigned follow-up tasks based on their booking, and the entire process felt like I had a personal assistant keeping track of things.

Best Practices for Online Appointment Scheduling

Scheduling might seem simple on the surface, but there are some key strategies that can make a huge difference in how smooth your booking process feels for you and your clients.

Here are my top tips for getting the most out of Systeme.io’s calendar feature:

1. Set Clear Availability

You don’t want clients booking calls during your lunch break or right before your kid’s soccer game. Be proactive—set specific time blocks for meetings, and use the buffer time feature to give yourself breathing room between calls.

For example, I block off the first 15 minutes after each call to jot down notes and avoid burnout.

2. Use Automation Rules to Save Time

Automating parts of your booking flow—like adding contacts to a list of email addresses for follow-ups—helps you avoid repetitive tasks. Use automation to send reminders, notify your team, and update your contacts list with minimal effort.

3. Collect the Right Information

When setting up your input fields, think about what information you really need. For free calls, you might only want a name and email address. For paid sessions, collecting more details—like a phone number or the client’s goals—can help you prepare better.

4. Offer Multiple Meeting Platforms

Not everyone uses Zoom. Some people prefer Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex Meetings, or Jitsi. By including an option for clients to choose, you’ll cater to their preferences and make booking more convenient.

5. Limit Daily Meetings

Set a cap on the number of meetings you’ll take each day. This helps you avoid overbooking and keeps your energy levels high.

Pro Tip: I limit myself to 4 client calls per day. I learned the hard way that six back-to-back meetings left me exhausted and mentally fried.

6. Send Automated Reminders

No-shows are frustrating and costly. Systeme.io lets you automate reminder emails to ensure clients don’t forget their appointment. You can set notifications for 24 hours before and even one hour before the meeting starts.

7. Display Statistics to Improve Your Process

Use Systeme.io’s display statistics feature to track your booking trends. Look at when clients book most often and adjust your availability accordingly.

For example, if most of your bookings come in on Tuesday mornings, you might want to open more slots during that time to maximize conversions.

By embedding your Systeme.io calendar seamlessly into your website or funnel and integrating it with your sales pipeline, you’re setting yourself up for a smoother, more efficient appointment process.

Real-World Application: A Case Study

My Journey from Calendly to TidyCal to Systeme.io

Last year, I made the switch from Calendly to TidyCal.

Why?

The one-time payment option TidyCal offers was too good to pass up, especially compared to the monthly or annual subscriptions of other scheduling tools. It did the job—basic booking pages, automated reminders, and the usual bells and whistles. But as good as it was for my wallet, something always felt a bit…disconnected.

Fast forward to now—I’ve moved everything over to Systeme.io’s calendar feature.

Since my entire business is set up on Systeme.io (funnels, email automations, digital products—you name it), it just made sense to keep my scheduling in the same place.

And here’s the kicker: the calendar feature is free with my Systeme.io account. No extra costs, no add-ons—just smooth integration across my entire system.

A Pro Look Across Devices

One of the first things I noticed was how sleek the Systeme.io calendars look—both on desktop and mobile. The layout is clean and professional, without feeling cluttered.

I’ve had clients mention how simple it was to book a session with me, and I know that first impressions matter. When someone lands on your booking page and it looks polished and intuitive, it immediately elevates your brand.

TidyCal was functional, but Systeme.io’s calendar just has that next-level polish. On mobile, the booking process is just as easy and seamless as it is on a desktop, which is crucial since a lot of my clients book appointments on their phones.

Game-Changer for Managing Leads

What really impressed me, though, was how easily the Systeme.io calendar integrates with the pipeline feature.

When someone books a discovery call or a consultation, they’re automatically added to the right stage of my sales pipeline. No more copying and pasting contact details or manually moving people through the process.

Now, when a lead books a call, Systeme.io adds them to my “New Lead” column and triggers the right follow-up sequence. I can see exactly where each client is in the process, and my team can easily manage this too.

Whether it’s sending reminders, updating client details, or moving someone to the next step, everything’s organized in one place.

Why I’m Sticking with Systeme.io

Switching to the Systeme.io calendar feature has simplified my workflow and made my business look more professional at the same time. I’ve saved money, eliminated the need for third-party tools, and streamlined my entire client onboarding process.

If you’re already using Systeme.io, the calendar feature is a no-brainer. It’s not just about saving money—it’s about creating a cohesive system where everything works together seamlessly. And for me, that’s been a total game-changer.

Key Takeaway

If you’re a coach, consultant, or service provider, having a business consultant calendar using Systeme.io makes managing multiple event types a breeze. It also provides a clear structure to your client journey—taking them from discovery calls to deeper sessions without you lifting a finger.

How To use The Systeme.io Calendar Feature: Final Thoughts

Mastering how to use the Systeme.io calendar feature can transform the way you handle appointments. By embedding your calendar and connecting it to your sales pipeline, you’ll give your clients a smoother booking experience and free up your time for meaningful work.

Whether you’re running discovery calls or paid consultations, Systeme.io’s booking calendar can help you stay organized, professional, and efficient. If you’ve been searching for a simpler way to schedule meetings without leaving your sales funnel—this is it.

Take the first step, set up your first event, and let Systeme.io handle the rest. You’ll wonder how you ever managed your bookings without it!

Prefer To Watch a Video Guide For How To Sell An Ebook With Systeme.io?

If you’re like me, then you’ll probably prefer to watch a step-by-step video guide to show you how to sell an ebook with Systeme.io. If so, then feel free to watch my A-Z video guide below:

Alternatively, if you prefer reading a step-by-step article, then read on to learn how to sell your ebooks online.

What Makes Selling an Ebook Profitable?

Ebooks are a fantastic digital product for many reasons. They’re inexpensive to produce, can be delivered instantly (no shipping costs!), and are perfect for turning leads into customers.

Plus, with tools like Systeme.io and an decent AI ebook creation tool like Designrr, you don’t need to be a graphic designer or a tech whiz to get started.

Here’s why ebooks are an ideal product idea:

  • Low production costs.
  • High-profit margins.
  • Easy to market through email marketing and social media.
  • Perfect for showcasing your expertise and building credibility.

If you’re new to selling digital products, don’t worry—I’ve been there. I’ll walk you through the process step by step, so you can avoid the pitfalls I faced when I first started.

Step 1: Create Your Ebook with AI (or DIY)

How to sell an ebook with Systeme.io created with AI

So, you’ve basically got two options to go about creating your ebook.

Option 1: Write the ebook content yourself and then import it into an ebook creator tool called Designrr to put it all together for you in a professional template layout and cover design.

Designrr can also create your ebook mockup cover in one click. This is great because you can then use your mockup cover to showcase your ebook on your sales page so your customers will have a visual look at what they’re buying from you.

Option 2: You can use Designrr’s AI writing feature (a.k.a WordGenie) to write the contents of your ebook for you.

Designrr homepage

Why Use AI to Create an Ebook?

Writing an ebook can feel overwhelming, but tools like Designrr make it simple. This AI ebook creator allows you to create professional ebooks fast.

You can even import content from blog posts, Word docs, or Google Docs and have your ebook ready in minutes.

With Designrr, you can:

  • Convert YouTube videos into ebooks.
  • Add stock images and customize layouts.
  • Use AI to generate content if you’re short on time.

Personal Tip: While Designrr’s AI writing tool is helpful, I recommend heavily editing the content yourself afterwards. AI can sometimes produce generic results, and adding your personal touch will make sure your content quality stays on point and you’re actually including your own knowledge, insights and experiences.

I once used AI for an ebook on content marketing, but it wasn’t until I rewrote certain sections with the information that I actually wanted to get across that it truly then resonated with my audience.

Designrr

DIY Ebook Approach: Write and Import

If you prefer to write your ebook manually, that works too. Simply draft your content and then import it into Designrr.

This is an excellent option if you want to write the content yourself. It’s also a great option if you already have content, like blog posts or presentations, that can be repurposed quickly into an ebook.

All in all, personally if you’re planning to sell this ebook, then I would recommend you write the content yourself to ensure the authenticity of your product. If you’re creating ebooks as free lead magnets or bonuses, then AI could be the better way for you to go.

The Cost of Designrr

Designrr has flexible pricing options, but the hidden $27 lifetime deal is an excellent starting point. Here are the deets.

Monthly Pricing Plans

Designrr’s monthly plans range from $29 to $99 and include advanced features like converting YouTube videos into ebooks and creating audiobooks.

While these are great tools, they’re not essential for producing high-quality ebooks.

The $27 Lifetime Deal

For a one-time payment of $27, you get lifetime access to Designrr’s Standard plan, which allows:

  • Unlimited ebooks if you import your own content (e.g., blog posts or Word docs).
  • Use of WordGenie, Designrr’s AI writing tool, for up to 4-5 ebooks depending on their length. Additional WordGenie credits cost $17 for another 4-5 ebooks.

This plan is ideal for creating your first ebooks without ongoing costs.

My Personal Experience with Designrr

I started with the Designrr $27 lifetime deal, and it was more than enough to produce high-quality ebooks. I later upgraded to the Premium plan to access features like converting videos into ebooks and creating audiobooks. However, upgrading isn’t necessary to create professional ebooks—you can achieve a lot with the $27 plan.

If you’re just starting out, I recommend trying the lifetime deal first. It’s affordable, practical, and provides everything you need to create your first few ebooks.

Ebook Formats

Once you’ve created your ebook with Designrr, here are the most popular formats you can publish it in:

FormatCompatibility
EPUBMost eReaders (e.g., iBooks, Kobo)
MOBIAmazon Kindle devices
PDFWidely accessible across all platforms

Step 2: Design a High-Converting Sales Funnel

What Is a Sales Funnel?

A sales funnel is the journey potential customers take from discovering your ebook to purchasing it. Think of it like an streamlined website, or a series of pages that will lead your customers through a very specific process to encourage them to purchase your product.

Building a well-designed funnel with Systeme.io is key to turning your leads into loyal customers.

Here’s what your funnel should include:

  1. Landing Page Design: A clean, compelling page that grabs attention and explains why your ebook is worth buying.
  2. Checkout Page: A user-friendly online shopping cart where customers can complete their purchase.
  3. Thank-You Page: A confirmation page that thanks the customer and delivers the ebook. Alternatively, you can also deliver your ebook via an automated email upon purchase, which is personally my preferred option.
Systeme.io template library

Landing Page Essentials

The landing page is the first page of your sales funnel. It’s the entry point your potential customers will take when you first introduce them to your product.

Your landing page design needs to be visually appealing and persuasive. Use Systeme.io to create a beautiful landing page with these elements:

  • An attention-grabbing headline.
  • Bullet points outlining the ebook benefits.
  • A mockup of your ebook created in Designrr.
  • A clear call to action, like “Buy Now” or “Download Today.”

Real-World Example: When I created my first ebook, I tested different designs to see what worked. Surprisingly, a minimalistic landing page with a bold headline and simple layout converted better than a flashy one. It just goes to show that sometimes less is more!

Understanding Systeme.io as a Selling Platform For Ebooks

Systeme.io is a powerful, but easy to use all-in-one platform with a range of features. That said, you’re not gonna need to use all of those features to sell an ebook. So, here are the Systeme.io features you’ll need to use for your ebook marketing strategy.

FeaturesUtility
Sales Funnel BuilderGuides potential customers through purchase stages
Sales PageBuild visually appealing product pages
Shopping CartFacilitates easy purchases
Order Bump StrategyBoosts sales by offering additional products

Step 3: Set Up Payment Options

Once your sales page is ready, it’s time to integrate payment methods. Systeme.io makes it easy to set up payment gateway integrations with Stripe or PayPal. Offering multiple payment options ensures a smoother experience for your customers.

Pro Tip: Be clear about the price and payment terms on your checkout page. You don’t want to learn the hard way if a customer disputes a charge just because they don’t recognize it on their statement. Always include your business name or ebook title on your receipts.

Step 4: Deliver Your Ebook

Delivery is a critical step in the customer journey. Systeme.io offers three methods for digital product delivery:

  1. Email with a Download Link: My preferred method because it adds a personal touch.
  2. Attachment: Less secure but still effective.
  3. Download Button on the Thank-You Page: Convenient but riskier since the link can be shared.

Actionable Tip: Use Google Drive to host your ebook securely. Share the download link only with customers who’ve completed their purchase.

Step 5: Automate Email Follow-Ups

Why Email Marketing Matters

Email is one of the most powerful tools for building relationships with your customers.

With Systeme.io’s email marketing automation, you can easily send follow-up sequences to thank customers, upsell other products, or keep them engaged.

Here’s how to set it up:

  1. Create a campaign in Systeme.io.
  2. Write a series of emails that add value and build trust.
  3. Schedule emails to send over time.

Future Email Marketing Campaigns: Once you’ve built an audience, you can promote other profitable products like online courses or templates.

Step 6: Promote Your Ebook

Leverage Marketing Platforms

To reach your digital product target audience, use a mix of marketing channels:

  • Social Media: Share posts, run ads, and engage with followers.
  • Email Marketing: Promote your ebook to your subscriber list.
  • Content Marketing: Write blogs or create videos that tie into your ebook’s topic.

Example: If you have a YouTube channel, then you can create a series of YouTube videos explaining key concepts that you cover in your ebook. Each video should include a link in the video description to your landing page to drive traffic to your ebook sales funnel.

Step 7: Analyze and Optimize Your Funnel

Finally, you can use Systeme.io’s analytics to track your funnel’s performance. Monitor metrics like:

  • Conversion rates on your landing page examples.
  • The effectiveness of your calls to action.
  • Set up A/B tests to test different elements on your landing page

Pro Tip: Test different funnel types to see what works best. For instance, you could create a webinar funnel or a lead magnet funnel to attract more potential customers.

Step 8: Enhancing Customer Experience Post-Purchase

Now you’re making ebook sales, it’s important to realise that your work doesn’t stop once someone downloads your ebook. In fact, this is the perfect moment to strengthen the connection and show them they made a great choice.

A little extra effort here can turn a one-time buyer into a loyal, repeat customer, which is the dream, right?

So, here’s how to keep the conversation going:

1. Send a Friendly Email
A quick “thank you” email goes a long way. Share a tip to help them dive into the ebook, or tell them a bit about why you created it. Keep it short, helpful, and warm—it’s about staying connected, not selling.

2. Add a Surprise Bonus
People love a little extra. Send a bonus chapter, exclusive tips, or a sneak peek at your next project. It’s a simple way to show you care and keep them excited about what’s next.

3. Ask for Their Thoughts
Let them know you’d love to hear their feedback. A quick review or reply email makes them feel heard and helps you improve.

4. Invite Them to Join Your Community
Point them to an online group or forum where they can connect with others. Building a sense of community makes your brand stick in their mind.

5. Be Easy to Reach
Make sure they know how to get help if they have questions. A little support goes a long way in leaving a great impression.

Keep it simple, personal, and thoughtful. It’s these small touches that turn readers into lifelong fans.

What Makes Systeme.io’s Digital Store Feature Special?

Systeme.io’s digital store stands out because of its simplicity and versatility. It’s like a hybrid of StanStore, Etsy and Linktree but with more options for customization and zero costs to get started.

Personally, I live the Systeme.io digital store feature because it’s a convenient way to help your customers browse your products, which in turn, helps their shopping. Systeme io makes it super easy for your customers to see your entire offering in one, convenient place.

Here’s why I love it:

  • It’s beginner-friendly: You don’t need to be a tech wizard to set up your store. It took me less than 30 minutes.
  • It’s cost-effective: Free accounts let you use this feature, so you can keep your overhead low.
  • It’s flexible: You can sell digital products, collect email subscribers, or link to affiliate offers — all in one place.
  • It looks professional: The templates are clean, modern, and mobile-friendly.

However, it’s not without its tiny quirks. For example, you can’t sell online courses directly through the store without a workaround (more on that later).

And while the templates are great, they don’t offer unlimited customization. Still, for a free tool, it’s hard to beat.

Now, without further ado, let’s get your shiny new digital store set up!

How To Create a Digital Store In Systeme.io – Step-by-Step Guide

I’ve broken the steps down for you to make your digital store set up process quick and easy.

Step 1: Setting Up Your Store

Creating your digital store starts with a free Systeme.io account. Here’s how to set everything up:

Sign Up for Systeme.io

If you don’t already have an account, you can use this link here to open your free account. It’s quick, easy, and free — no credit card required.

Systeme.io digital store set up process and guide

If you already have a free Systeme.io account and you’re ready to upgrade to a paid plan, then you can save a whopping 40% off Systeme.io with this link.

Create Your Store

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Navigate to “Websites” and click on “Digital Stores.”
  3. Click the “Create” button to start building your store.

Fill Out Basic Details

You’ll be prompted to:

  • Name Your Store: Choose something that reflects your brand. For my store, I simply used my YouTube channel name.
  • Select a Domain: If you don’t have a custom domain, you can use Systeme.io’s subdomain to get you started. While this works fine while you set up your store, you’ll want to get a custom domain before you go live so you will appear more professional. You can get a nice discount on custom domains here.

Click Save, and your store is officially in progress!

Step 2: Customizing Your Digital Store’s Design

Here’s where you make your digital store uniquely yours.

Edit the Header

Your header is like your digital store’s first impression. Here’s what to focus on:

  • Add a Store Bio: Keep it short and engaging. Let people know what they’ll find in your digital store.
  • Upload a Profile Image or Logo: Use a high-quality image that reflects your brand.
  • Add Links: Include links to your social media profiles, website, or other resources.

For my digital store, I added my YouTube channel link and blog URL, which created clickable icons at the top of the store.

Choose a Template

Systeme.io offers a selection of templates that have a nice modern look and are sleek and responsive.

After testing a few, I settled on one with a clean, minimalist design. It took just a few clicks to change the color scheme to match my branding (black and green).

By the way, if you want to take a look at my digital store to get an idea of what I built, you can see it here.

Here’s an image of some of the store templates you can choose from:

Step 3: Adding Products to Your Digital Store

This is where the real fun begins. Systeme.io lets you add three types of products:

1. External Links

This option is perfect for affiliate marketers.

For example, I added a product promoting Systeme.io itself using my affiliate link. All I did was upload a thumbnail, write a brief description, and add the link. Simples!

2. Email Collection

Want to build your email list?

You can offer a free lead magnet, like an eBook or cheat sheet, in exchange for email addresses.

Example: I created a section for my free guide, “How to Start a YouTube Channel for Beginners.” It’s helped me grow my email list while providing value to my audience.

3. Digital Products

Selling your own digital products is just as simple. Upload the product file, add a description, set your price, and Systeme.io takes care of the rest.

Here’s a snap shot of what it looks like to set up your digital store:

Setting up your digital store front

Step 4: Selling Online Courses

Here’s where things get a bit tricky. Systeme.io’s digital store doesn’t support course sales directly, but there are workarounds:

Method 1: Link to a Sales Funnel

Create a sales funnel for your course and link to it from your store. This allows you to showcase detailed information and optimize for conversions.

Method 2: Manual Enrollment

Alternatively, you can sell your course as a digital product. Once someone buys, manually enroll them in the course using their email address. While not ideal, it works if you’re just starting out.

Step 5: Enhancing Your Store

To make your store more user-friendly and appealing, consider these tips:

Organize Your Products

Use the “Add Section” feature to group products into categories like “Freebies,” “Courses,” and “Templates.”

Highlight Key Items

Drag and drop your products to prioritize best-sellers or freebies. For example, I placed my lead magnet at the top of my store to grab attention.

For a visual look at this, check out my video at the top of this article to see how I do this.

Real-World Example: My YouTube Channel’s Digital Store

When I created a digital store for my YouTube channel, I wasn’t sure how much impact it would have if I’m being completely honest.

I started by adding links to my products and also to my one-to-one coaching page. I then added a few affiliate links and discount codes that I offer to my audience.

I was surprised at just how quick and easy it is to create a digital shopping experience with Systeme.io. Not only that, but I’m still amazed that this feature is free. Yep, you can create a digital store for free with Systeme.io, which is pretty awesome!

My Honest Opinion On The Systeme.io Digital Store Feature

What I Love

  1. Ease of Use: Even as someone who’s not a tech expert, I found the setup process incredibly intuitive.
  2. Cost: The fact that it’s free is a game-changer, especially for beginners.
  3. Versatility: Whether you’re selling products or collecting emails, the options are flexible enough to meet most needs.

Minor Drawbacks

  1. Course Sales Workaround: The lack of direct course integration adds an extra step.
  2. Limited Customization: While the templates are great, advanced users may find the design options somewhat restrictive.

Creating a Digital Store In Systeme.io: Final Thoughts

Systeme.io’s digital store feature has made launching an online store simpler, and faster than ever. Personally, I love how this feature helps to bring our customers a streamlined Systeme io shopping experience.

Systeme.io Pipelines: A-Z Guide to Automate Your Sales Funnel https://entrepreneurnut.com/systeme-io-pipelines/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=systeme-io-pipelines Fri, 01 Nov 2024 14:48:54 +0000 https://entrepreneurnut.com/?p=1014383 Read more]]> Pipelines are a core feature of Systeme.io that help you organize and move potential clients through your sales process.

Think of it as a digital “to-do” list but for leads.

Whether you’re nurturing new leads, following up on proposals, or closing deals, the pipeline helps you visually track where each prospect is in your sales journey.

The pipeline is the latest addition to systeme.io’s all-in-one solution.

So, in this article I’m gonna tell you everything you need to know to use the Systeme.io pipeline feature effectively so you can track your customer journey with ease.

Prefer To Watch My Systeme.io Pipeline Video Tutorial?

If you prefer to watch my step-by-step SIO pipeline tutorial, or if you don’t have time to read the whole article, then you can watch my video below.

I kept this video short and concise, while still comprehensive enough to show you a ton of automations you can set up in Systeme.io to use with your pipeline.

Accessing the Pipeline Feature

To begin building your pipeline, head to your Systeme.io dashboard. The pipeline feature is located in the main navigation menu as “Pipelines” or “Sales Pipelines,” depending on your language setting.

Systeme.io pipeline menu option

Pro Tip: This feature, while intuitive, is a game-changer when you have clear sales funnel stages mapped out. If you’re familiar with Systeme.io’s dashboard, this step will feel like a natural extension of what you already know.

Pipelines are designed to visually represent each step of your customer journey, from lead acquisition through nurturing to sales. By segmenting the stages of your customer journey, you can better guide potential customers to a final purchase.

Each stage in a pipeline should correlate with a particular action or sales stage, creating a well-defined sales funnel. If you’re new to pipelines, Systeme.io makes it easy to start with default stages that can later be customized to fit your business.

Customer journey

Naming and Customizing Your Pipeline

Once you’re inside the Pipelines tab, start by naming your pipeline to match your product, service, or sales stage.

A clear, descriptive name helps you identify which pipeline is for what purpose—especially if you handle multiple pipelines. For example, if you’re launching a new product, you might name the pipeline “Spring 2024 Product Launch.”

You’ll notice a set of default stages to get you started. In Systeme.io, these typically look like:

  • New Lead
  • Proposal Sent
  • Negotiation
  • Closed – Won
  • Closed – Lost

Each stage represents a step in the journey of your customer, and they’re easy to rename or customize based on your business model.

Real-World Example: When managing a digital product launch, I set up my pipeline to reflect each interaction phase: Lead Opt-in, Free Trial, Trial Follow-up, and Purchased. This not only helped me keep track of leads but also gave my sales team clear cues for follow-up, keeping everything efficient.

Setting Up Your Pipeline Stages

Default Stages in Systeme.io

Systeme.io’s pipelines come with several default stages that cover typical sales funnel stages. Here’s a quick look at what each one typically represents:

  1. New Lead: This is where all new prospects begin.
  2. Proposal Sent: For leads who have received initial engagement or proposals.
  3. Negotiation: Leads actively involved in discussing pricing or terms.
  4. Closed – Won: Successfully converted leads.
  5. Closed – Lost: Leads who are no longer pursuing a purchase.

These stages represent a solid sales process for service-based businesses, but if you’re in e-commerce or digital sales, you might need fewer steps.

Sales pipeline stages

Customizing Stages for Your Sales Process

Customizing stages allows you to match the pipeline to your actual selling process. Simply click on any stage to rename it, add new stages, or remove ones you won’t use.

For example, if your business offers a free consultation before sending a proposal, you might add a stage like Consultation Scheduled.

Example: For a subscription-based business, the pipeline stages might look like this: Trial Signup, Trial Nurture Sequence, Conversion Opportunity, and Retention Follow-up. Adjusting these stages helps create a perfect sales funnel for nurturing prospects and converting leads in a logical order.

Custom stages make tracking easy and show each customer’s place in the buying process, which can make your follow-ups more timely and relevant.

When used correctly, custom stages can lead to a more successful sales funnel by improving the overall client experience.

Adding Prospects to Your Pipeline

Manual Addition of Prospects

If you’re working with only a few clients, manually adding prospects is straightforward. You can enter contact details, add notes, and customize stages based on their progress.

Adding your prospects to your pipeline

This approach is ideal for small businesses or high-touch sales where each lead is handled individually.

For instance, if you’ve met a potential client at a conference, you could manually add them to the Initial Contact stage of your pipeline.

Adding prospect info

Automating Prospect Addition with Triggers

For higher volume, automated triggers can be a lifesaver. With Systeme.io, you can set automation rules based on specific actions, such as:

  • Funnel Form Subscribed: Via your email marketing campaigns – when a visitor subscribes through a lead capture form.
  • Purchase Made: When someone buys a product, they’re moved to Closed – Won.
  • Tag Added: For example, you might add a “VIP Client” tag to prospects showing strong interest, moving them to a specific stage.
Automation rule to add someone to your pipeline when they opt into a form on your landing page or sales funnel

Automations like these reduce manual work and make your sales funnel stages more efficient, helping you stay focused on clients ready to buy.

Real-World Example: In my recent launch, I used the New Sale automation to add clients who purchased a premium package directly into the New Customer stage. It instantly streamlined my post-purchase process, as they were automatically sent a welcome email and guided to onboarding steps.

Using Tags for Better Organization

Tags are invaluable for keeping track of your leads’ actions and interests, which can help your sales team craft messages that resonate.

Tags can be applied based on the content a user engages with, the lead magnet they signed up for, or specific product interests they indicate.

For example, if you offer multiple products, a tag like “Interested in Ebooks” vs. “Interested in Webinars” makes it easy to segment your follow-up efforts effectively.

By tagging your audience, you build more personalized customer journeys, turning leads into engaged prospects.

Automation Rules: Streamlining Sales with Triggered Actions

Creating Automations for Pipelines

Systeme.io’s automation builder makes setting up trigger-based actions easy. To start, navigate to Automations > Rules and create a new rule. Here, you’ll define:

  1. Trigger: Select a starting event (e.g., “Form Subscribed”).
  2. Action: Decide what follows, such as “Send Email” or “Add to Pipeline.”

Tip: The most efficient automation systems pair specific actions with pipeline stages. For instance, a new subscriber in your email campaign could trigger them being added to the pipeline stage New Lead.

Example Automation Workflow

Imagine a workflow for following up with leads who didn’t convert after joining a webinar. The automation would look something like this:

  1. Trigger: Form Subscribed on webinar signup page.
  2. Action: Add to Pipeline at Webinar Attended stage.
  3. Follow-up Action: Schedule a Check-In Email if they haven’t converted after one week.

Pro Tip: Keep your automations focused on a single goal, like nurturing leads. When setting up automated responses, avoid complex code structures that may cause unintended consequences, such as memory leaks or infinite loops. Instead, use simple, non-destructive actions that enhance user experience.

Common Automation Features for Effective Sales Funnels

Some automations are universally helpful for streamlining sales activities. Here are a few:

  • Tag-Based Triggers: Move a prospect from Lead to Qualified Lead when they complete specific engagement steps, like visiting a landing page or opening an email.
  • Purchase Triggers: Automatically move contacts to a post-purchase sequence after buying. This automation not only confirms their purchase but also positions upsell offers without manual sales team intervention.

Automations like these make your sales funnel software an all-in-one solution, enhancing marketing efforts and freeing up valuable time.

These automation triggers streamline your process by moving leads through different stages without manual effort. Here are some key places where you can establish these automation rules:

  • Opt-in Forms on Landing Pages: When visitors sign up on your landing pages with their email address, you can add them to the pipeline as new leads.
  • Blog Content via Opt-in Forms: Use contact forms or sign-up forms within blog posts to add engaged readers to your pipeline.
  • User Engagement Triggers in Emails: Track specific actions of folks on your email list like email opens or link clicks, and add those engaged contacts to your pipeline.
  • Course Completions: When a user completes a course housed in your Systeme.io account, move them to the next pipeline stage, like “Qualified Lead” or “Post-Course Follow-up.”
  • Module or Lesson Completion: Set rules to add people to your pipeline after they finish a specific module, indicating strong engagement.
  • New Purchase on Sales Pages: After a successful purchase, automate adding customers to a “New Customer” stage in your pipeline.
  • Webinar Registration or Attendance: Add attendees to your pipeline based on webinar engagement, such as registering, attending, or interacting with polls during the session.
More triggers for your automation rules

These automation rules help ensure that every lead and customer moves seamlessly through your sales funnel stages, enhancing efficiency and maximizing engagement.

Tracking, Measuring, and Improving Your Pipeline’s Performance

Using Built-In Analytics to Track Performance

A well-defined pipeline should be tracked and optimized regularly. Systeme.io provides a dashboard with metrics, allowing you to track:

  • Conversion Rates: From initial lead to customer.
  • Stage Progression: See how many leads reach each stage.
  • Funnel Drop-Off Points: Identify where potential customers are disengaging.

Keeping tabs on these metrics ensures your pipeline is working as expected and helps you adjust where needed.

Personal Insight: In my experience, frequent pauses in analyzing pipeline stages have often led to missed opportunities. Reviewing metrics monthly has allowed me to spot when leads drop off, adjust content to re-engage them, and measure the impact on my sales efforts.

A/B Testing and Continuous Optimization

Systeme.io also supports A/B testing, letting you experiment with different messages, offers, and follow-ups.

For example, testing different email subjects or landing pages can reveal what resonates most with your audience, leading to a more successful and well-defined sales funnel.

A few points to consider when A/B testing:

  1. Keep It Simple: Start with one change at a time—like an email subject line or landing page design.
  2. Measure Results Carefully: Use metrics like open rate, click-through rate, or lead conversion.
  3. Act on the Data: Always implement changes based on clear insights.
  4. Final Thoughts: Maximizing Your Success with Systeme.io Pipelines

Top Takeaways

Setting up a pipeline in Systeme.io brings simplicity to what can often feel like a chaotic sales process. Combining your pipeline with email marketing allows you to send targeted follow-ups and nurture leads effectively throughout the sales funnel.

By visualizing each step, you’re not only staying organized but also enhancing your clients’ experience through timely, personalized touches. Here are some final tips to keep your Systeme.io pipelines working at their best:

  • Leverage Automation Wherever Possible: Automation isn’t just about saving time; it’s about creating a consistent, predictable experience for your prospects.
  • Regularly Review and Optimize: Make it a habit to check metrics monthly. Look for areas where leads may be stalling or dropping off, and address them.
  • Engage with Clear Goals: Each stage of your pipeline should have a clear objective—whether that’s booking a consultation, sending a proposal, or onboarding a new client.

Personal Experience with Systeme.io Pipelines

Using the pipeline feature has changed how I manage leads, allowing me to automate tasks that previously required a lot of manual effort.

For example, during a product launch, I initially tracked leads through manual spreadsheets—a process that was as effective as keeping water in a sieve!

Switching to Systeme.io pipeline within its all-in-one solution, I could clearly and easily visualize where each lead was in the sales process, automate follow-ups, and move prospects through a well-defined process.

Encouragement to Experiment

Pipelines aren’t one-size-fits-all. Test various approaches, and don’t be afraid to add stages or try different types of follow-ups to see what works best for your sales process.

Every audience is unique, and what converts one group might not work for another. The beauty of Systeme.io is in its flexibility—experiment with your pipeline stages, automation rules, and triggers to keep your process evolving as your business grows.

How To Create a Landing Page In Systeme.io – Video Tutorial

If you prefer to watch a step-by-step video of me walking you through the exact steps to set up your high-converting landing page, then you can watch over my shoulder in my YouTube video below.

This video is an A-Z, step-by-step guide with nothing left out.

Creating Your Landing Page

Creating a landing page with Systeme.io, an effecive all-in-one online business tool for entrepreneurs and management of landing pages, is like laying the foundation for your digital house. It’s where your visitors land, get impressed, and decide whether to stay and explore or leave.

Crafting a compelling landing page is not just about aesthetics; it’s about functionality, clarity, and, most importantly, alignment with your goals.

Let’s first dive into how to choose the right type of landing page and name your landing page funnel to kickstart your online business journey.

Choosing the Right Type of Landing Page

Here are the 4 different types of landing page you can build with the Systeme.io all-in-one marketing platform.

Systeme.io landing page types

Well, basically, when it comes to landing page creation, you can create any type of landing page you want. But what I mean is, Systeme.io’s landing page builder feature gives you 4 different options to kick off your project.

Here are the 4 options you have to choose from, and the reasons for choosing each one:

Building an Audience: This type of landing page is designed with one goal in mind – to collect email addresses or other contact information from potential followers. The idea is to grow your mailing list, which you can later use to nurture leads, share updates, and promote products or services.

Personally, this is the option I choose if I am creating a landing page with the sole purpose of collecting leads.

Selling a Product: Just as it says on the tin – if you’re directly selling a product, this impactful landing page type is your online salesman. It’s crafted to showcase your product’s benefits, range of features, and value, persuading the visitor to make a purchase.

Custom Landing Pages or Funnels: Sometimes, your marketing strategy requires a unique approach. Custom landing pages or funnels are tailored for specific campaigns, list of products, or audiences. They offer the flexibility to experiment with different layouts, content, and CTAs to see what resonates best with your target market.

Evergreen Webinars: Designed to promote your products via pre-recorded webinars, these high-converting landing pages aim to register visitors for your webinar.

Choosing The Right Type of Landing Page

Now, choosing the right type of landing page isn’t just a matter of eeny, meeny, miny, moe. It’s about matching the page to your plan, ensuring it resonates with your audience and nudges them gently (or not so gently) towards your desired action.

Each type has its place and purpose, fitting neatly into different stages of the customer journey. It’s like picking the right tool for the job, ensuring you’re not using a hammer to crack a nut.

So, now you’ve chosen the type of landing page that suits you best from the above 4 options, it’s time to get to the fun part – designing your high-converting landing page.

Designing Your Landing Page

Designing an attractive landing page that converts visitors into customers or leads is an art and science. It’s about striking the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. But, don’t get too hung up on it. It doesn’t need to be perfect.

The easiest way to start, especially if you are new to creating landing pages or using landing page builder tools, is to pick a template and customize it to fit your needs.

Picking the Perfect Template

Systeme.io template library

When it’s time to pick a template for your landing page, you want it to be eye-catching, but not too loud; classy, yet inviting.

Again, don’t get too hung up on finding a template that matches perfectly to what you had in mind. After all, all of the templates in the Systeme.io template library are fully (and easily) customizable, so it’s no biggie if you don’t find the perfect fit right away.

That being said, here’s a little cheat sheet to help you find the best template to work with:

  • Start with layout: First, I scan the templates and note the layout. If I can find one that already matches, or very closely resembles the layout I want, then this makes my job a lot easier then it comes to customizing the landing page template. By layout I mean, the columns and sections of the template.
  • Functionality: Then, look at the functionality that has already been set up on the template. For example, if you want a popup to appear on your stunning landing page, then does the template already have one? If not, but you like the template, then you’ll have to add the popup yourself. Again, not a big issue as you can easily add more functionality to your landing pages, but if it’s already built for you, then it’s going to save you a bit of time.
  • Page elements: By page elements I mean things like images, videos, headings, etc, and their position on the page. It’s super-easy to add and remove elements to your Systeme.io landing page, so don’t get hung up on this, but if the template you choose already has them, then it’s gonna save you a bit more time.

Clarity of Design and Page Functionality

A simple and clear design is not just about the aesthetic appeal; it’s about making it as easy as possible for your visitors to understand your offer and take action.

Too many elements can confuse visitors, diluting the impact of your message.

A clean, focused design helps keep attention on what matters most: your lead magnet and CTA.

So, don’t go crazy with putting loads of images, videos, and popups on your page. More is less when it comes to creating professional and user-friendly landing pages. You don’t want to give your visitors too much to think about, or too many options to choose between.

Instead, craft your landing page in a simple way that clearly leads your visitors in the direction of taking the action you want them to take i.e. opting in, booking a call, or making a purchase.

Customizing Your Landing Page Template

Now, onto the customization phase!

Step-by-Step Guide on Customizing the Landing Page

If you want to watch over my shoulder as I customize a landing page in Systeme.io, then watch my Systeme.io landing page tutorial video at the top of this article.

Otherwise, read on!

Customizing your template is where you bring your brand and message to life. Here’s how to make the most out of your chosen template:

Deleting Unnecessary Elements: Start by removing any parts of the template that you don’t need. Less is more when it comes to effective landing pages.

Deleting elements

Adjusting Layout and Spacing: Ensure that your content flows logically and is easy to navigate. Adjust the spacing to make your page easier on the eyes, which improves readability and overall user experience.

Adjusting spacing

Choosing and Inserting High-Quality Images: Use high-quality, relevant images to capture attention and convey your message visually. Images should complement your text, not overshadow it.

Use a Video: Video has been proven to increase conversion rates considerably on landing pages, and even more so if the video actually has you (or one of your employees) in it. This builds trust and helps you to make a connection with your visitors from the get go.

Adding videos

Add Logo Brand Colours: Next, add your logo and brand colours to your landing page to make it align with your brand.

Images for Your Landing Page

Personally, I would strongly advise against taking images from Google for your landing page. This could get you into trouble with copyright laws, so just stick to using either stock images with a free license, paid stock images, or images that you’ve taken yourself.

Where To Get Royalty Free Images

Stick to these websites for royalty free images:

Where To Get Premium Stock Images

DepositPhotos is now the only place I go to buy images if I can’t find what I’m looking for in the above free archives.

Having said that, DepositPhotos does also have a range of free images here that are usually better quality than the ones you’d find in the free archives above, so check here first.

Lead Magnets: The Key to Capturing Leads

A lead magnet is an irresistible offer that provides value to your visitors in exchange for their contact information. It’s the cornerstone of effective lead generation strategies.

Suggestions for Effective Lead Magnets

The best lead magnets offer immediate value and are highly relevant to your target audience. Here are a few things that work really well as a lead magnet:

  • Ebooks
  • Audiobooks
  • Checklists

AI Tool To Create professional Lead Magnets Quickly

While we want to offer a good quality lead magnet, we don’t want to spend forever creating it. That’s why I personally love to use an AI tool called Designrr to create professional, quality ebooks.

Ebooks are a great lead magnet because they can offer your new subs a good amount of quality information, and they have a somewhat high percepton in value. After all, many entrepreneurs sell ebooks with Systeme.io, so if you’re giving one away for free then the right ebook can be an enticing offer to the right person.

So, not only can Designrr help you with content research for your ebooks, it can even also write the entire content of your ebook for you. It does this with the help of ChatGPT.

Then, in Designrr you can choose from a range of professionally designed templates to house your ebook content. Once you’ve chosen your template, you can also pick out a snazzy-looking cover.

At this point, your ebook is pulled into the design editor where you can customize the look and feel of your ebook. Not only that, but you can also include essential elements such as videos, images, audio files, call to action buttons, lists, tables and so on, throughout the content of your ebook.

Once your ebook is complete, Designrr then gives you the following options:

  • Create a 2D or 3D cover for your ebook
  • Publish your ebook as a flipbook
  • Publish your ebook as a PDF
  • Publish your ebook direct to the Amazon Kindle store
  • Turn your ebook into an audiobook

So, I’m sure that, by now, you, like me, can see why Designrr is a pretty awesome tool.

Unfortunately, Designrr is not free, and pricing starts on their website at $29 per month. However, you can get access to a hidden lifetime deal of Designrr through this link here for a one-time payment of $27.

This special offer is not available on the Designrr website, and I don’t know how long they will continue to offer this deal. But if you tap this link here and you see that the Designrr lifetime deal is still available, then I highly recommend you grab it while you can.

This is a no-brainer offer if you want to create high quality, professional ebooks with AI since you’ll be able to create as many of they as you want with this lifetime deal offer.

If you want to see Designrr in action, then watch my YouTube video below where I show you how it works.

Crafting Effective Thank You Pages

Now, on to the thank you page. This page is very important and serves multiple purposes so I advise not to skip it.

Purpose of a Thank You Page

A thank you page serves as the immediate follow-up to a visitor’s action, such as subscribing to a newsletter or making a purchase. Its primary role is to express gratitude and confirm the action taken. However, it’s also a strategic spot for further engagement.

Selective Focus

It’s crucial to choose a singular focus for your thank you page beyond just saying thanks. Overloading visitors with multiple calls-to-action can dilute the message and reduce effectiveness.

Whether it’s inviting them to connect on social media, presenting a special offer, or suggesting an upsell, pick one that aligns with your goals and audience’s needs.

Connecting on Social Media

For businesses looking to build their online community, directing new subscribers or customers to social media channels is a smart move. This encourages ongoing engagement and keeps your brand top of mind.

Presenting an Offer

A thank you page can also introduce a special offer. This might be a discount on a next purchase or access to exclusive content. It’s a way to immediately reward the action they’ve just taken, deepening the relationship.

Upselling a Product

For those with a product lineup, suggesting an upsell is a strategic use of the thank you page.

By offering products that complement the initial purchase or subscription, you increase the value to the customer and your average order value.

Practical Example

Consider an affiliate marketer focusing on growing an email list. Once a visitor subscribes, the thank you page not only acknowledges their subscription but also introduces an affiliate product.

A brief video explaining the offer, topped with a clear “buy” button, can effectively convert interest into action.

Global Compliance on Landing Pages

Now, an important part to your landing pages that beginners often overlook is compliance.

I know this might sound boring, but it’s super-important to know about and comply with.

Basically, compliance with data protection laws like Europe’s GDPR and the U.S.’s CCPA is key for any online business. These regulations ensure you’re handling user data with care and transparency.

Systeme.io makes this simple with consent checkboxes and privacy policy links on landing and thank you pages.

That being said, depending on where your digital business operates from, and where your customer live, you might need to comply with other lays beyond these steps, so do not take this as legal advice or the end all, be all when it comes to compliance. Always verify additional local laws to fully comply beyond these steps.

Email Follow Up With Systeme.io

Now your well-designed landing page and thank you page are set up and you’re collecting email addresses from your leads, what are you gonna do with those leads?

You’ll first want to put them through an automated email follow up sequence. This is a series of emails that will typically be anywhere from 7 to 14 days long at one per day.

The purpose of this sequence is to welcome your new subscribers, build trust with them, and sell an initial product.

Here is a 7 step guide on everything you need to know about doing email marketing effectively.

By following that guide you’ll be able to get your email campaigns set up the right way so they nurture your leads and make you money.

Since you’re going to be using Systeme.io for your landing pages and automated email follow up, here are a few things you can do inside your Systeme.io account when it comes to email.

Streamlined Email Lists

Systeme.io uses tags for organizing email lists, allowing for targeted and personalized messages based on user behavior and preferences. It’s a smarter way to connect with your audience and keeps things well organized for you.

Email Automation

With Systeme.io, setting up email automation is straightforward. Automate welcoming new subscribers or engaging leads, ensuring timely and relevant emails are sent.

It’s about making every subscriber feel special without lifting a finger. In this way you can nurture a relationship with your leads and earn money from your list on autopilot.

Use AI To Write Your Email Content

If you don’t like writing emails, or if you don’t have time, or you don’t know what to write, then you can use an AI tool like HoppyCopy to write all your email content for you.

Not only can HoppyCopy write all your email sequences and email marketing campaigns for you, it can also be used for your broadcast emails, which is a huge time-saver.

HoppyCopy also helps you to land in the inbox thanks to its built in spam checker tool. This feature will scan your emails and highlight any potential spam trigger words that you should consider changing.

Then, with a few teaks you’ll have a much higher chance of landing in the inbox, not the spam or promotion folders because, let’s face it, no one’s gonna see your emails unless you can get them to land in the inbox.

Another valuable tool you can use to drastically increase email deliverability is MailReach. MailReach is one of the best tools on the market to improve your deliverability so you don’t land in the spam folder.

MailReach helps you to warm up new email addresses as well as maintaining a strong, healthy IP and domain reputation for the long-term so you can continue to email your target audience effectively.

MailReach also has it’s own built in spam checker tools so it can monitor your campaigns and tell you where you need to improve.

MailReach is quick and easy to set up and it will even show you how to set up DKIM, SPF, and DMARC, and let you know if you have set up these important certificates correctly.

If you want to make sure you inbox so people actually receive your emails, then you can get 20% off MailReach here.

Launch and Optimization

Before you launch your landing page, make sure everything is working correctly. Here are a few tips to help you.

Launch Prep

Before launching, test your landing page and email sequences. Make sure everything works smoothly, from consent checkboxes to email triggers. It’s like doing a tech rehearsal before the main event.

Ongoing Optimization

After launching, monitor performance and apply A/B testing to refine your strategy. Continuous improvement based on data and feedback will keep your conversions growing.

Maximizing Online Presence

Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your high-converting landing pages.

SEO Strategies

Optimize your landing page for search engines to boost visibility. Keywords and fast loading times help you rank higher and attract more traffic. A keyword research tool plays a crucial role in uncovering low-competition keywords that are highly relevant to your target audience.

Effective A/B Testing

Use A/B testing to tweak and find what works best. Changing one element at a time lets you measure impact accurately, ensuring your content is always on point.

Leveraging Social Proof

Add testimonials or client logos to increase trust. It shows potential customers they’re in good company, making your offer more compelling.

Whether you’re a tech-savvy individual looking for a new career path or a business owner wanting to boost sales, understanding sales funnels can be your key to success.

In today’s world of digital marketing, the art of guiding potential customers through a well-designed sales process can easily 10X a businesses revenue.

And digital entrepreneurs will pay a handsome price to pro sales funnel builders to create them.

Let’s dive into this exciting world and explore how you can turn this skill into a lucrative profession.

What is a Sales Funnel?

If you want to become a funnel builder, then, of course, you first need to have a clear understanding of funnels and what they’re designed to do.

Basically, a sales funnel, sometimes called a conversion funnel, is like a virtual journey that potential customers take, leading them from mere awareness of a product to the final purchase.

Think of it as a guided tour or marketing strategy where each step is carefully crafted to build trust, answer questions, and overcome objections.

Learn the comprehensive process of how to become a professional funnel builder and master the art of crafting high-converting sales funnels for business success.

It’s like having a sales assistant working on the job to sell a product 24/7 without needing to take a pee break.

Basically, a sales funnel consists of various stages, such as awareness, interest, decision, and action.

A good funnel is designed to guide potential clients through their buying journey, making the entire process seamless and persuasive.

How Funnels Guide Customer Decisions

If you train to be a funnel builder, then you’ll learn a lot of high value skills that your clients will pay you extremely well for.

By providing the right information at the right time, your funnels help customers make informed decisions. In turn, this will lead to increased revenue for your clients.

These powerful tools create a personalized experience that resonates with individual needs and desires.

Having a sales funnel is like having a sales assistant on hand to give customers around the store and showcase the exact products they are interested in.

An effective sales funnel will showcase the products in a highly persuasive way, and offer various incentives to close the sale.

Compare this to a website, which is like having a huge store, but no one to guide the customer. As a result, the customer may not find what they are looking for, and they may even talk themselves out of the sale.

The Role of a Funnel Builder – What Do They Do?

Sales Funnel stages

A professional funnel builder is much like an architect for the digital world, meticulously crafting a bridge between a business’s offerings and its potential customers.

They delve deep into understanding a business’s products and services. Then, with this info, they create a tailored digital journey that guides visitors from awareness to purchase.

On a typical day, a funnel builder might start by analyzing a business owner’s products and services. They’ll ask questions like, or “What problems does this product solve?”

With these insights, they craft an entire customer journey tailored to guide potential leads from mere awareness to making a purchase.

It’s not just about assembling web pages.

Funnel building is an art that combines psychology, design, and strategy. Every detail, from button colors to call-to-action phrasing, is optimized for conversions.

In essence, once you train to be a funnel builder, you’re like the unsung hero behind successful online businesses, ensuring every digital journey they craft is smooth and intuitive.

What Types of Funnels Will You Build as a Funnel Builder?

Once you become a certified funnel builder, you’ll know how to build a wide range of funnels.

Different goals require different funnels. So, here’s a look at some common types:

Opt-in Funnel

Designed to help you create an email list or capture email addresses (and/or other contact info), this funnel offers something valuable in exchange for contact information.

The opt-in funnel is not only a great strategy for growing your email list and running email campaigns, but also the starting point for building a long-term relationship with potential customers.

Opt-in funnels are often simple in design, consisting of just one or two pages.

Sales Funnel

This funnel guides customers through the buying process, from introducing the product to closing the sale. It’s all about turning interest into action.

Sales funnels are more complex, and can consist of anything from 1 to 15 or more pages. Besides the landing page and checkout page, an effective sales funnel can also have upsell and downsell pages.

Survey Funnel

A Survey Funnel is a strategic approach that guides visitors through a series of questions to segment and better understand their needs and preferences.

By gathering insights directly from potential customers, businesses can then tailor their messaging, offers, and follow-up more effectively.

This personalized approach enhances the user experience and can also boost conversion rates.

eCommerce Funnel

An eCommerce Funnel is specifically used to sell physical products online. They’re structured to guide online shoppers through the buying process, from initial awareness to the final purchase.

By understanding and refining each step of this funnel, business owners and online marketers can use this funnel to enhance the shopping experience, reduce cart abandonment, and increase sales. Essentially, an eCommerce Funnel is a strategic framework to maximize online retail success.

Webinar Funnel

A Webinar Funnel is a highly effective way to sell high ticket items like online courses, or a coaching package.

Basically, this funnel is designed to attract, engage, and convert participants through online seminars or evergreen webinars. The webinar funnel begins by generating interest and registrations for the event. It then guides attendees through the webinar content, and culminates in a call-to-action, often promoting a product, service, or further engagement opportunity.

Each stage of the funnel, from promotion to post-webinar follow-up, is optimized to maximize attendance and conversion. Essentially, a Webinar Funnel ensures that the effort put into creating and hosting a webinar translates into tangible results, be it sales, sign-ups, or strengthened brand relationships.

Membership Funnel

A Membership Funnel is like a guide to getting folks excited about joining a special club or community online.

It’s a step-by-step journey that introduces people to the perks of becoming a member, whether that’s exclusive content, special deals, or a sense of belonging.

From that initial “Hey, check this out!” to the final “Welcome aboard!”, a Membership Funnel ensures that joining feels like snagging a VIP pass to something truly awesome. It’s all about making members feel valued and special.

Application Funnel

An application funnel guides folks through the entire process of applying for something special. This could be a course, job, or exclusive service.

It starts with a warm invite to apply, walks them through the necessary steps, and ends with a cheerful “Thanks for applying!”

This popular tool is designed to make the application process feel less like paperwork and more like stepping into a new, exciting opportunity. It’s all about smooth sailing.

If you want some more ideas, then you can see my article on different funnel types here.

Other types of funnels you can build as a funnel builder are book funnels, challenge funnels, coaching funnels, product launch funnels and cart funnels. You can also build marketing funnels like lead magnet funnels, video funnels, and live demo funnels.

How to Become a Funnel Builder – Skills, Qualities, and Qualifications Needed

Training to be a master funnel builder is not just about understanding technology; it’s about combining creativity with strategic thinking.

Here’s what you need:

Qualifications

Fortunately, you don’t need any qualifications as such to be a master funnel builder and offer exclusive customer service. Some people have taught themselves this skill over years of trial and error watching YouTube videos and practice.

While this method can certainly work, it can be a slow process just to get to the point where you’re ready to start taking on some clients.

if your looking to become a powerful sales funnel builder, the quicker path is to take a certified sales funnel builder course like this one.

This course will guide you through all the steps and training you need to be able to start converting leads into customers quickly and, of course, making money.

Technical Aptitude

While you don’t need to be a coding genius (far from it), a basic understanding of web design and technology is essential. Or, at the very least, an interest in tech and a desire to learn how it works.

Design Sensibility

Your funnels need to look good. A keen eye for design helps you create visually appealing pages that resonate with your audience.

If you’re following a proper funnel course like this one, then you’ll learn how to design sexy-looking funnels with ease.

Copywriting Prowess

Words matter. Knowing how to write engaging and persuasive copy is key to guiding customers through the funnel.

This part can’t be overlooked, which is why it’s important to get proper training, like the one I linked to above.

Problem-Solving Ability

Things don’t always go as planned. Being a problem solver ensures that you can tackle challenges head-on and keep things moving smoothly.

The Tools You Need To Build Funnels

The right tools make the job easier. Here’s what you’ll need:

Sales Funnel Builder Software

There are various platforms out there to help you create stunning funnels.

While you’ll want to choose one that fits your needs and budget, I strongly recommend not to just choose one of the cheapest options. They’re cheap for a reason.

Make sure you pick one that has all the capabilities you need, is easy to work with, has great support, and one that can offer you an attractive affiliate commission when you switch your clients over to using your funnel building tool of choice.

From extensively researching pretty much every funnel tool out there, I would personally recommend you choose either ClickFunnels or Kartra if you want to be taken seriously and become a successful entrepreneur.

Firstly, you can create the best-looking funnels that will actually look professional with ClickFunnels and Kartra.

Secondly, they both have decent support. If you’re building a funnel for a client and you need help, the last thing you want is having to wait days to get a reply from support. You shouldn’t have this issue with ClickFunnels or Kartra.

Thirdly, both ClickFunnels or Kartra have good affiliate programs. This means you can earn some nice extra money when you get your clients to switch to your platform of choice.

Another choice you can consider, especially if you’re building clients for local business is GoHighLevel.

Overall though, I would recommend ClickFunnels here if you’re offering this as a professional service. ClickFunnels’ affiliate program also has a lot more opportunity for you to earn way more money.

Systeme.io is another great all-in-one tool with a funnel builder. While this is a good platform for beginners, it just doesn’t have the extra features and wow-factor if you want to build funnels professionally for clients, in my opinion.

Graphic Design Tools

Figma is a great tool you can use for free to map out the design of your funnel. You can use it to showcase the architecture of the funnel to your clients before building it. And, Figma will also help you stay on track when you’re actually designing the funnel.

Other tools like Canva or PicMonkey can help you create eye-catching graphics for any type of business without needing a degree in design.

Personally, I use Canva. You’ll use this tool almost constantly to create beautiful-looking graphics for your funnels.

How to Start Building Funnels For Clients

Customer journey stages

Now, down to the nuts and bolts.

Let me break it down for you:

Step 1: Education and Training

As I mentioned earlier, starting a career as a funnel builder doesn’t require a formal degree.

However, proper funnel training and education can make your journey much faster, smoother and more successful.

Self-Learning

The internet is filled with resources, tutorials, and guides. You can start by exploring free content and practicing on your own.

Formal Training

Want to fast-track your success? Consider investing in a comprehensive training program. Click here to find out more about a training course that can set you on the right path.

Hands-On Practice

Like any skill, practice makes perfect. Build funnels for yourself or volunteer for friends to gain real-world experience.

Step 2: Building a Portfolio

Showcasing your work is essential to attract clients. Here’s how to build an impressive portfolio:

  • Create Examples of Work: Build various types of funnels to demonstrate your versatility and creativity.
  • Showcase Your Skills: Include detailed explanations of your process, the challenges you faced, and how you overcame them.
  • Make It Accessible: Whether it’s a dedicated website or a simple PDF, make sure potential clients can easily view your portfolio.

Step 3: Networking and Finding Clients

Building funnels is one thing; finding clients is another.

Here’s how to network and grow your client base:

  • Use Social Media: Join groups, participate in discussions, and showcase your expertise on platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook.
  • Attend Industry Events: Whether virtual or in-person, industry events provide excellent opportunities to meet potential clients and other professionals.
  • Build Relationships with Business Owners: Reach out to local businesses, offer value, and build relationships that can lead to long-term collaboration.
  • Start a YouTube Channel: Starting a YouTube channel is a great way to get the word out about your skills and services. YouTube is a visual platform so it’s easy to show off your work here. Plus, loads of people come to YouTube everyday to learn stuff.

Step 4: Choosing the Right Sales Funnel Builder Tools

Choosing the right platform is crucial. Here’s a comparison to help you decide:

  • ClickFunnels: Known for its user-friendly interface and robust features like landing page builder, ClickFunnels is a favorite among professionals. It offers different pricing plans (basic plan, pro, funnel hacker), each with a 14-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee. ClickFunnels also offers plenty of payment options.
  • Compare ClickFunnels To Other Platforms: Compare ClickFunnels with other platforms, highlighting differences in functionality, ease of use, and pricing plans.

Other platforms worth considering include:

Here in this Systeme.io vs ClickFunnels comparison guide, we take a look at 2 of the best options on the market.

ClickFunnels is the most popular marketing platform on the market with a ton of affiliates recommending it as the best thing since sliced bread.

It’s true, it is a good tool, but it’s expensive…

Systeme.io, on the other hand, is a more complete solution that offers more tools and even has a free-for-life plan.

So, which one do you choose?

Let’s take a closer look at the pros and cons of each platform.

Let’s get to it!

Systeme.io
Systeme
  • Feature 1: Best all-in-one platform on a budget
  • Feature 2: Has all the tools you need to run an online business
  • Feature 3: Free-for-life plan (no cc needed)

  • Feature 2: Huge community
  • Feature 3: 14-day free trial

What Is Systeme.io?

Systeme.io homepage

Systeme has also been around for a while as it first launched in 2016. The founder of Systeme.io, Aurelien Amacker, is a highly successful entrepreneur who first started his online journey as a humble blogger.

After building an audience and having success as a blogger, he launched his first course, which was very successful.

From there, he decided to move into the SaaS market and create an all-in-one marketing platform that not only provides the key tools that entrepreneurs need to run their business, but also a platform that is affordable for anyone.

This is the reason why Aurelien decided to offer a free-for-life plan on the Systeme.io platform so anyone can get started as an entrepreneur online, regardless if they have any money to get started or not.

Systeme.io also has a great reputation in the marketplace with over 1,000 TrustPilot reviews at a 4.9/5 rating.

What Is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels homepage

ClickFunnels was one of the first all-in-one business platforms to hit the market back in 2014. It was founded by entrepreneurs, Russell Brunson and Todd Dickerson.

ClickFunnels is best known for its funnel builder tool, which many would say is its strongest feature.

Over the years, ClickFunnels has built a cult-like following by helping entrepreneurs build successful online businesses through the use of their marketing platform, and digital training courses.

ClickFunnels is based in Idaho, United States, and currently has over 100,000 users. They also have a very active Facebook community too, with more than 380,000 followers.

Systeme.io vs ClickFunnels – What Features Does Each Platform Have?

If you’ve been in the online marketing space for more than 5 minutes, then you will already know that there are lots of competitors in the marketing software space.

Each platform has a few differences that make them stand out.

But in my honest opinion, Systeme.io and ClickFunnels are two of the best all-in-one business platforms you can choose from.

Here are the features that each platform offers:

Systeme.io Feature List

Overall, Systeme.io has more features than ClickFunnels, in fact, more than almost any other platform out there.

The Systeme.io features include:

  • Sales funnel builder (drag-and-drop)
  • Landing page builder
  • Upsells, down sells, and order bumps
  • A/B testing
  • Deadline funnels
  • Email marketing (autoresponder)
  • Website builder
  • Blogging platform
  • Affiliate program management
  • Business automation
  • Evergreen webinars
  • Online course creator and hosting (membership areas)

Systeme.io is a highly affordable all-in-one marketing platform that comes packed with all the main tools you’re going to need to run an online business.

Besides sales funnels and websites, you can also build landing pages in Systeme.io as well as create and sell online courses, run your email marketing automations, build a community, run webinars, set up an affiliate program, and even host your videos.

Yes, that last one – hosting your videos for you is something that ClickFunnels does not offer!

Systeme.io also has a free migration service for anyone who needs to migrate an existing business from another platform (for example, from ClickFunnels to Systeme, or from Kartra to Systeme, etc).

The free migration service is available for anyone who registers with the Unlimited plan at $97 per month. Alternatively, you can also get the free migration service if you opt for any paid plan on annual billing.

I was sceptical at first as to how the Systeme.io team would be able to migrate a person’s business form one platform to another, until I saw a few testimonials from customers who took this service.

You can see some of these testimonials here:

Systeme testimonial 1
Systeme testimonial 2

It’s also worth noting that all Systeme.io features are available on every plan, except for the webinar feature, which is only available on the Webinar plan and the unlimited plan.

The following benefits are also available to every plan user, including the Systeme.io free-for-life plan:

  • Unlimited emailing
  • Unlimited file storage space
  • Unlimited course students
  • No transaction fees
  • Affiliate program management
  • Online support

Systeme.io also has a decent affiliate program where you can earn a very generous 60% commission on all paying customers you refer to use the software.

ClickFunnels Feature List

ClickFunnels also has some great features, although not as many as Systeme.io.

The ClickFunnels features include:

  • Sales funnel builder (drag-and-drop)
  • Upsells, down sells, and order bumps
  • A/B testing
  • Online course creator and hosting (membership areas)
  • Follow-up funnels (email autoresponder)
  • Affiliate program management
  • Webinars
  • FunnelFlix (library of marketing training courses)
  • Advanced integrations
  • Lots of funnel templates

It’s important to know that not all ClickFunnels features are available on every plan.

If you want to use ClickFunnels’ email marketing feature, affiliate management feature, or webinar feature, then you’ll need to upgrade to the Platinum plan (see below).

While Systeme.io does have more features and more generous usage restrictions, ClickFunnels offers lots more funnel templates and in-built integrations.

That’s not to say that Systeme.io can’t integrate with as many third-party tools. It can. But you will also need to use Zapier to connect with some providers.

It’s also important to know that if you’re on the ClickFunnels Standard plan, then you’ll be limited to which marketing training courses you can watch in the FunnelFlix library.

Systeme.io vs ClickFunnels Service Costs

Now you have clarity on what features you can expect on each platform, let’s take a look at the price of each platform.

I’ll also highlight which features you get on each pricing plan.

Systeme.io Cost

Systeme.io is priced considerably cheaper than ClickFunnels. Systeme.io also has a free-for-life plan, which ClickFunnels simply does not offer.

ClickFunnels Cost

As I said earlier, ClickFunnels is quite a bit more expensive than Systeme.io. Having said that, ClickFunnels is a leading brand in the space with a cult-like following, so they can get away with charging a bit more for their services.

It’s important to know that not all, or even most of the CleakFunnels features are available on all plans. See below.

ClickFunnels Basic Plan ($97 p/m)

On the ClickFunnels Basic plan you basically get access to the funnel builder, the funnel template library, and some training courses in the FunnelFlix library.

Systeme.io vs ClickFunnels – And The Winner Is…

I’ve used both Systeme.io and ClickFunnels over the years in my business, and I can say they’re both great tools.

However, after putting both of these tools to the test, weighing everything up, considering all features offered by both platforms, and considering the price of each, Systeme.io, in my opinion, is the better choice, especially for newbies.

Yes, ClickFunnels has more integrations, a nice funnel template library, and a slightly better funnel builder, but for me, this just doesn’t justify the extra cost.

So, unless you really dig Russell Brunson and want to join the ClickFunnels cult, I’d recommend using Systeme.io.

Don’t get me wrong, I do actually dig Russell myself, and I recommend many of his other digital products because they’re awesome. But when it comes to comparing the Systeme.io and ClickFunnels software side by side, I choose Systeme.io.

So, that’s just my opinion… take it or leave it, it’s up to you.

If you need more clarity, below, are the reasons why you should choose each platform.

Reasons For Choosing Systeme.io

  • You need an all-in-one platform where you can do things like build a sales funnel, a website, a membership site, manage your email marketing, and run webinars
  • You want a platform where you can manage everything under one roof
  • You’re trying to keep your costs low, or you’re on a tight budget

Systeme.io Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Free forever plan (no cc needed)
  • Has all the tools you need to run a business online
  • Easy to use
  • Very low-cost plans
  • Generous usage limits
  • Excellent support
  • Evolving platform
Cons
  • Limited 3rd part integrations (use Zapier for a workaround)

Reasons For Choosing ClickFunnels

  • You want to be a part of the ClickFunnels community
  • You want to earn yourself a ClickFunnels award
  • You want to access the training courses in FunnelFlix

ClickFunnels Pros and Cons

Pros
  • 14 day free trial
  • Easy to use
  • Lots of funnel templates
  • Great training courses in FunnelFlix
  • Huge community
Cons
  • Expensive
  • Not all features available on all plans

Systeme.io vs ClickFunnels – Final Thoughts

Overall, Systemer.io is the clear winner here for someone who is looking to build an online business.

ClickFunnels is certainly the more established platform with a larger user base. It’s excellent for entrepreneurs whose primary focus is building sales funnels.

However, Systeme.io does everything ClickFunnels does and more, they have more generous usage restrictions, and are much more affordable.

If you’re new to online business, or if you’re looking to cut costs, then I highly recommend you give Systeme.io a go.

If you’re looking to transfer an existing business, then sign up with the Unlimited plan, or any plan on annual billing and the Systeme.io team will take care of everything for you.

ClickFunnels homepage

While ClickFunnels is an all-in-one tool for selling products, its main purpose is to convert website visitors to customers. Its easy-to-use drag-and-drop page builder helps you build professional-looking landing pages without the need for coding.

You can also use ClickFunnels to build membership sites, host webinars, build your email list, and manage your affiliate program.

Several well-known entrepreneurs use ClickFunnels to promote their products. Among them is Jaime Cross, a mom of four who uses the ClickFunnels software to supercharge her business. She and her husband generated over $130k in their first six weeks of using the platform.

Another well-known entrepreneur is Sara Wells, a food blogger who uses ClickFunnels to convert traffic from her blog and sell products.

At the time of writing this article, ClickFunnels is used by over 100,000 business owners and entrepreneurs.

Here are just some of the things you can do as a ClickFunnels user:

  • Create landing pages
  • Build sales funnels
  • Build lead capture funnels
  • Run webinars
  • Sell digital products
  • Sell physical products
  • Collect leads
  • Get more clients
  • Promote affiliate products
  • Run your email marketing
  • Run an affiliate program

Since you can do so much with ClickFunnels, it has a huge appeal for almost every type of business out there.

ClickFunnels also offers a free trial for 14-days so you can check out the platform before committing.

How to Make Money with ClickFunnels

If you are wondering how to make money with ClickFunnels, or ClickFunnels 2.0, then I’m going to explain all in the rest of this article.

ClickFunnels can help you make a lot of money online. It can also help you to earn passive income even if you don’t have your own products or services.

There are hundreds of people who have made their way into the prestigious 2 Comma Club. This means they’ve made at least one million dollars through a single sales funnel built with ClickFunnels.

I’m not saying it’s easy, but it’s more than doable if you apply yourself.

Here are 6 ways to make money with ClickFunnels.

1. Building Sales Funnels to Sell Your Products or Services

Probably the most common use of ClickFunnels is to use it to sell products that you own.

It doesn’t matter if you are trying to sell a physical or a digital product, ClickFunnels sales funnels are highly effective at helping you to sell online.

People in the eCommerce space love using ClickFunnels because the funnels can help you to hone your customers into a very specific product and get them to buy from you.

Not only this, but you can maximize your revenue and increase the value of a customer by using conversion-focused features like upsell and downsell pages and product order bumps.

You can use ClickFunnels to sell digital products too.

If you’re trying to sell an eBook, audio file, video course, or software product, then ClickFunnels is a perfect tool to sell your products and make money online.

If you run a service-based business, for example, a business consultant, a realtor, or a therapist, ClickFunnels is a highly effective tool to help you acquire new clients and ascend them up your value ladder.

If this business model appeals to you, then you can get started with a free ClickFunnels trial for 14-days here.

2. Building Funnels to Promote Affiliate Products

ClickFunnels is one of the most popular tools used by affiliate marketers. The reason is that ClickFunnels is highly effective at helping you to promote affiliate products online.

To use ClickFunnels for affiliate marketing, all you need to do is create a simple 2-page funnel using the drag-and-drop funnel builder. This type of funnel is known as an affiliate bridge page funnel.

The first page of the funnel (the landing page) is where you entice visitors to join your email list by offering them some kind of free gift known as a lead magnet.

Once they take you up on your offer and submit their email address, 3 things happen simultaneously.

  1. The visitor is added to your email list
  2. The lead magnet is automatically emailed to your new subscriber
  3. The visitor is redirected to page-2, the bridge page

The bridge page usually contains 3 elements – a captivating headline, a short video of you introducing an affiliate product, and a button to purchase via your affiliate link.

If the visitor buys at this stage, great, you make money! If they don’t no worries. They are now subscribed to your mailing list and will start receiving automated emails from you to introduce them to new products they might be interested in.

Most affiliates make the bulk of their income through their email follow-up sequence.

If this business model appeals to you, then you can get started with a free ClickFunnels trial for 14-days here.

3. Promoting ClickFunnels as an Affiliate Partner

ClickFunnels has one of the best affiliate programs in the industry. They have a mix of low and high-ticket products you can promote.

On top of this, you can also promote the ClickFunnels software suite itself, which pays you a recurring monthly commission on every user you refer.

Here’s why the ClickFunnels affiliate program is so good:

  • It has low-ticket products that are easy to sell
  • It has high-ticket products that can make you a lot of money per sale

4. Automated Webinars to Sell High-Ticket Products

If you sell high-ticket products, either an affiliate product or a product you own yourself, then webinars are one of the most effective ways to do it.

Webinars are an excellent way to generate substantial revenue for your business. They can be held anywhere, and people don’t need to see you face-to-face to attend.

Live webinars are particularly effective because they create a sense of urgency and a need to attend live in your audience.

You can also convert past live recordings into automated webinars if you wish. Using automated webinars, each time you capture a new lead using ClickFunnels, you can automatically direct them to watch your pre-recorded webinar. And, of course, during the webinar, you can pitch your product.

If this business model appeals to you, then you can get started with a free ClickFunnels trial for 14-days here.

5. Creating a Membership Platform

Many internet marketers believe a membership business is the holy grail of passive income. Yep, if you have valuable content locked away inside a member’s area, you stand to make a lot of money passively.

Using a ClickFunnels membership site is easy. Its drag-and-drop technology, ready-made templates, and ease of use make it a great tool for creating a membership website.

ClickFunnels also allows you to try the service for free for two weeks. Afterward, you can decide if it’s right for you.

You can customize every part of your membership area, and course content, and even restrict content to a certain group of members if you wish.

You can make your membership site look pretty good with ClickFunnels, but overall it’s quite basic. But if we’re comparing only the membership site builder to Kajabi for example, then Kajabi is better for this purpose.

However, ClickFunnels has a better landing page and funnel builder than Kajabi. It also has an affiliate management dashboard and can host webinars, which Kajabi can’t do. ClicFunnels is also cheaper than Kajabi. All in all, I’d say ClickFunnels is the winner as an overall platform, but Kajabi has a better membership site builder.

Another excellent alternative that is cheaper than both ClickFunnels and Kajabi is SamCart. The SamCart membership site builder is far superior to ClickFunnels membership sites. It’s so good it’s almost as good as Kajabi’s but at a fraction of the price.

You can also build really nice landing pages with SamCart too. This makes it a great choice to sell and host your online courses. SamCart offers a free 14-day trial here.

6. Building Sales Funnels for Other Businesses

If you want to build sales funnels for other businesses, ClickFunnels is probably the best tool to use for this purpose.

Of course, before you get started, you’ll need to take some funnel training. Don’t worry, you can find out everything you need to know about becoming a funnel builder for others here.

ClickFunnels are known for their high-converting funnels and easy-to-customize templates. If you want to start a business designing funnels for people then you’ll get access to a whole library of done-for-you templates for all kinds of businesses.

You can search the ClickFunnels library by business category. For example, if you have a real estate client who wants a funnel, you can search the library for an appropriate template, make a few changes by adding their logo, images, and brand colors and you’re pretty much good to go.

Another excellent benefit of using ClickFunnels for this purpose is the share funnel feature. Once you’ve built the funnel for your client (inside your own ClickFunnels account), you can show the client the finished product and ask them to transfer payment.

Once you have received the funds into your account, you can send the funnel template directly to the client via the share funnel link. If the client already has a ClickFunnels account then they will be able to import the funnel directly into their account in seconds by simply clicking on the link.

If your client does not yet have an account with ClickFunnels, you can simply send them the share funnel link, ask them to click it, and then follow the instructions to set up their ClickFunnels account. they will then be able to access to funnel you made for them.

But here’s the clever bit…

Since they signed up for a ClickFunnels account by clicking your share funnel link, ClickFunnels regards you as the person who introduced them to the platform. Because of this, you will now receive a monthly affiliate commission of up to 40% for as long as the client remains a ClickFunnels user.

This is a great way to earn extra passive income alongside the money you earn through your funnel-building business.

If this business model appeals to you, then you can get started with a free ClickFunnels trial for 14-days here.

There are loads of different types of sales funnels that businesses use for different reasons.

Here are 7 types of sales funnels that are amazing at turning visitors into paying customers.

What Is a Sales Funnel?

Regardless if you want to train to become a pro funnel builder, or if you just want to learn how to build funnels for yourself, you’re gonna need to start with understanding the concepts.

Basically, a sales funnel is a process for marketing a product or service. It aims to smoothly lead a person through the customer journey to the point of purchase.

Ideally, a person going through the funnel will be looking for a solution to a particular problem and then making a purchase.

Unfortunately, a sales representative may not understand their needs and try to push a product before they’ve even considered it. In this scenario, the prospect may never return to your company.

Instead, using a sales funnel will help your team provide relevant information to a person at the right time, increasing the likelihood that a prospect will buy your product.

There are also other types of funnels that do not aim to make a sale upfront but instead simply capture the lead. This is usually in the form of an email address or a phone number. These types of funnels are called ‘lead funnels’.

The Benefits of Marketing Sales Funnels

With sales funnels, you’ll be able to convert more visitors into paying customers. Not only will you increase traffic and profits, but you’ll have a better understanding of your target audience.

Another great benefit of using a sales funnel is you’ll be able to measure the performance of your business and make better decisions based on data. If your sales funnel is set up correctly, you’ll be able to increase your profitability considerably.

Types of Sales Funnels

You may have heard names like, ‘the lead magnet funnel’, ‘self-liquidating offer funnel’, or the ‘tripwire funnel’, but do not know exactly what they are.

There are quite a few different types of marketing funnels that are used for different purposes, and these are just a few.

Below is a list of the most common types of funnels:

  • Lead Magnet + Email Funnel
  • Self Liquidating funnel
  • VSL Funnel
  • The 2-Step Tripwire Funnel
  • The Auto Webinar Funnel
  • The Affiliate Bridge Page Funnel
  • Free Plus Shipping Sales Funnel

In the rest of this article, I’ll explain what each funnel does and why you might use it.

Lead Magnet + Email Funnel

A lead magnet is something free that entices people to sign up for your email list. This could be a report, guide, ebook, checklist, or online course.

So, a lead magnet funnel usually consists of 2 simple pages. The first page presents the lead magnet in exchange for contact info, most commonly an email address. Once the prospect submits their details, the lead magnet is sent automatically to their email address. At the same time, the prospect is then diverted to the second page.

Usually, the second page is a simple ‘thank you page’ with some basic info about the company to increase brand awareness. Sometimes companies use the thank you page to deliver the lead magnet instead of sending it by email. However, if you do send it via email then you condition your leads to open your emails right at the beginning, which is a good thing.

Now the prospect has joined your list, they will receive an automated email sequence over a period of time. Typically, companies will auto-email their leads a few times a week in the beginning to build trust and report. Then, emails that introduce a product or service will start being sent.

The Self Liquidating Offer Funnel

The self-liquidating funnel is another type of lead funnel. Its primary aim is to capture leads rather than to sell products.

This funnel is similar to the lead magnet funnel set up above, except it also uses an additional page that comes between the landing page and the thank you page.

So, once the visitor has entered their email address to get access to your lead magnet on page 1, they are then diverted to page 2. Here, you give them a no-brainer offer that’s also very cheap.

The aim here is not to make money at this stage, but instead, the goal is to use this offer to liquidate your ad costs and at least break even. Then, you follow up via email and make money from your list over time.

This might sound crazy not to try to make more money on the front end. However, you’ll get more uptake by offering a good deal at a low price.

Ads are a huge cost for businesses, but if you can completely negate your ad costs with this funnel then you’re going to hugely increase your profitability.

The Video Sales Letter Funnel

A video sales letter (VSL) funnel is one of the most effective sales funnels to convert visitors into customers.

Video has the advantage of being more engaging, is better at building trust, can be more memorable, and attracts more traffic and clicks. Overall, video is now far outperforming written sales copy.

On average, video sales letters get around 80% more leads compared to sales letters that are relying on written text.

A video sales letter funnel usually consists of 3 pages:

  • The sales letter page (in video format)
  • The one time offer (OTO) page
  • Order confirmation, or thank you page

The first page is where the visitor will be able to enter your funnel. This page use video to introduce to offer, build trust with the visitor, and give them reasons to buy (or opt-in).

The next page is your chance to sell the visitor an additional product by presenting them with a one-time offer. A one-time offer is a deal that’s so good it’s very hard to refuse. You also make it clear that if they don’t take you up on your one-time offer, it won’t be available again anywhere else.

The video on this page will introduce the offer, highlight the benefits, and encourage them to buy.

The last page doesn’t need a video as it’s a simple thank you page and confirms the visitor’s order.

The 2-Step Tripwire Funnel

The tripwire funnel’s primary aim is to make sales. However, it also captures visitor contact information at the same time.

This type of funnel is also quite simple in that it only needs 3 pages to be effective.

The first page will entice visitors with a low-priced special deal for a very limited time. For example, if your business sells essential oils, you might offer 3 for the price of 1 before the countdown timer finishes.

On this page will be a picture of the products, a video or written sales copy to sell the product and an order form.

Once the visitor has entered their contact and payment info, you send them to a one-time offer page. Here you pitch them a second offer that’s too good to refuse. Of course, not everyone will take you up on this offer, but there’s a high chance they will if your offer is relevant, compliments the product you offered on the landing page and is a great deal.

Using scarcity to present your OTO by letting them know they won’t be able to get this deal at any other time can also increase conversions considerably.

What makes this funnel so effective is, since they’re already entered their payment details on the first page, they’re more likely to take this second offer since you’ve already got them to commit to the first product, and the hard step of entering their credit card details is already done.

The last page is a simple order confirmation and thank you page. Some businesses like double this page with an offer wall. In this case, the top part of the page will confirm the order, and thank them for the purchase. Underneath, will be listed a few more products that might entice the customer into making more purchases.

The Automated Webinar Funnel

Webinars are an excellent way to offer value to your audience and build trust at the same time.

An auto webinar is a pre-recorded webinar that gives valuable information or training and then pitches a product at the end. This type of funnel is a great way to capture leads and sell high-end products at the same time.

The landing page captures the attention of the visitor with an enticing headline, and copy to promote your free webinar. You can use either a video or written copy to convey the benefits of attending the webinar.

Once the visitor opts in to access the webinar, you can send them directly to the webinar replay page. The webinar is your chance to demonstrate your authority on the topic of the webinar, build trust, and offer valuable information.

Towards the end, you can now introduce your product and encourage viewers to click the buy button below the webinar video. Offering a lot of value upfront and building trust through the webinar will make it a lot easier to then sell an expensive product.

If visitors don’t purchase at the end of the webinar, you can now follow up via email to get them to buy.

The Affiliate Bridge Page Funnel

An affiliate bridge page funnel is a simple 2-page funnel used by affiliate marketers. This funnel type simultaneously collects leads and pitches an affiliate product. It’s a highly effective method to build an email list and increase sales.

The most common type of affiliate sales funnel usually offers a lead magnet on the first page in exchange for an email address.

The lead magnet can be anything the prospect might view as having value to them. Typically it’s an eBook, a free guide, a short course, a checklist, or even a simple piece of software that helps solve a problem.

Once the prospect submits their details, the lead magnet is sent automatically to their email address. At the same time, the prospect is then diverted to the second page – the bridge page.

The bridge page serves 2 purposes – to thank the person for joining their list and to bridge the gap between them and an affiliate offer. To do this, typically the affiliate will have recorded a short 1-2 minute video that appears on the bridge page. This video introduces the visitor to an affiliate offer with a button to buy the product.

If the prospect takes the offer, the affiliate makes a commission here on the front end. If the offer is not taken up at this point, that’s no problem. The visitor is now on the affiliate’s email list and will start to receive an automated email sequence.

At this stage, good affiliates will email their leads a few times a week, in the beginning. They do this to build trust and report by offering free help, guidance, and insight into their niche.

Some of these emails will also recommend products that can help people along their journey. If these products are purchased, the affiliate receives a referral commission.

Free Plus Shipping Sales Funnel

The free plus shipping funnel is one of the most popular sales funnels.

This type of funnel provides a great incentive for prospective customers to sign up for your email list. It also gives you an opportunity to build trust by offering a freebie or sample.

To make this work, the “free” product you offer needs to be a physical product so you can ship it to their door. Technically, this is not a free product since the customer still has to pay for shipping. However, you’re not charging them the full value, only the shipping, and handling.

The beauty of this funnel is that it achieves several important things all at the same time:

  • You gain a new lead
  • You get more valuable info from your prospect (physical address and phone number)
  • You build trust by offering a free sample
  • You get them to sample your products
  • You get them to enter their credit card details, making it more likely they’ll purchase from you in the future

So, once the prospect has taken you up on your free offer, you can then redirect them to an upsell page. Here you can pitch them a more expensive product that is related to your freebie. If they take up your offer, great, you make money in your funnel. If not, you can then send them to a downsell page.

On the downsell page, you have one last chance to pitch a product on the front end of your funnel. This time, you’ll offer them another related product that is not as expensive as the upsell product. This way, if pricing was an issue for the customer they may instead be interested in your cheaper priced product.

Of course, you’ve already collected their email on the first page. So now you can also follow up with them over time to pitch more products.

Other Types of Funnels

There are also other types of funnels that are effective. These include:

  • The squeeze page funnel
  • Survey funnel
  • Product launch sales funnel
  • High-ticket sales funnel
  • Invisible funnel
  • Referral funnel
  • High-end client funnel
  • The Challenge funnel

Each type of sales funnel has a unique purpose with a specific goal.
